Knowing DC comes with growing up just outside of it in addition to some friends of mine and family members being Washingtonians but in Bmore’s case, it’s mainly from non-Harbor related visits as well as being a UMES alumnus (or as Blac Youngsta infamously said, The University of Baltimore Eastern Shore )

I live in Baltimore. Baltimore is SMALL. You have the mostly white areas like Fed Hill and Canton. Then you have the rest of the city, East and West. West being more run down. Bad areas really go by blocks. You have the blocks where police don’t harass the trappers, but go a couple blocks over and they gon pull up instantly.

If I were you, I would move to PG if you wanted to come back to Maryland.

Born and raised. Small and everybody know everybody so you got to watch how you move.

Man after being in college out on The Shore for 4 years, I’ve learned how blessed being from PG is whether you grew up in the boonies parts, humble working class parts, and even the hood parts. That rural poverty is some the first time you see that shyt...So many Black folks across the Bay aren’t the most upwardly mobile economically, some of them live in the literal dirt in some parts. Their kids gotta endure racism from white students in the public schools, even in Salisbury which is the biggest “city” over there. shyt was like a completely different world out there, even Charles County down the road ain’t that bad.

And nah lol, I’m pretty lowkey but I do have cousins up in Bmore. I haven’t seen them in years tho. I do have some homies from Baltimore that I’ve befriended at my alma mater. If they needed some wisdom (I’m older than most of my fellow alumni class) and/or a fat ass laugh, I had them covered lol

I’ll be 28 next month but the Bay as in Chesapeake Bay from PG to Eastern Shore. VCU should be good to continue your education. Ever considered doing a trade breh?
