I feel like y’all bus and subway systems would be much bigger if y’all weren’t surrounded by them scary ass racist Cacs in Anne Arundel and Bmore Counties. Y’all situation seem pretty similar with ATL. Doesn’t help that Hogan did y’all dirty by cancelling that proposed red line

Yup. Hogan was on his scary ass protect the suburbs trump shyt with that. The feds should have investigated that for discrimination.

I’ll be 28 next month but the Bay as in Chesapeake Bay from PG to Eastern Shore. VCU should be good to continue your education. Ever considered doing a trade breh?

damn Baltimore fucced up just like chicago thats my kinda environment thankfully i really think the racism will start to change with the new kids even tho their parents will always be RACIST

Once I get my face tattoos ima need a trade but even with a trade they don’t like face tattoos. I could really be a rapper i got tons to rap about and moving to bmore Finna help that more dummy.

But damn u only 2 years older than me..you showing me what life woulda been like had I graduated but i like this path too...I coulda been a convicted felon if my lawyer aint beat the cases I’m blessed.

i plan on trying to get an honorary degree from UGA like Kanye west did...I’m from chicago thats the least they could do and chicago name holds a ton of weight just like Baltimore name Finna be

Nah you good breh. Man after being in college out on The Shore for 4 years, I’ve learned how blessed being from PG is whether you grew up in the boonies parts, humble working class parts, and even the hood parts. That rural poverty is some :merchant: the first time you see that shyt...So many Black folks across the Bay aren’t the most upwardly mobile economically, some of them live in the literal dirt in some parts. Their kids gotta endure racism from white students in the public schools, even in Salisbury which is the biggest “city” over there. shyt was like a completely different world out there, even Charles County down the road ain’t that bad.

And nah lol, I’m pretty lowkey but I do have cousins up in Bmore. I haven’t seen them in years tho. I do have some homies from Baltimore that I’ve befriended at my alma mater. If they needed some wisdom (I’m older than most of my fellow alumni class) and/or a fat ass laugh, I had them covered lol
My girl from PG and I tell her all the time how blessed y’all are to grow up here

Facts. Even with damned PGPD...Even though they be wylin and aren’t strangers to fukk shyt (they’ll chase your ass all the way to Delaware if they want to :dead:), police brutality isn’t as major here as it is elsewhere. I always chopped it up to them being subjected to or at the mercy of a mostly Black county government and residency/voter base. Despite my stance towards national politics, local and state politics are definitely of great importance for Black folks.

Yea Baltimore ain't really my cup of tea. It's a cool city but just not a lot of variety tbh. It's also really small.

Why do people think Baltimore is such a small city? I always wonder this. It's it the square miles within the city limits, is it the population of the city? :mindblown:

I think it's 2 main things

1. The population isn't really that big (like 600K) and the city has been losing people over the years. Add in relatively low population density compared to other east coast cities (DC, Philly, NYC, Boston) and the city starts to feel small.

2. The "built" up part of the city is really small. The main part of the city is all within a 2.5 mile radius of Downtown. Outside of that, most places are pretty residential.

Thinking of heading down in a few weeks to hit the aquarium. Where should I stay for a night or two?

I'd check out the hotels in harbor east

Pre pandemic, I know the aquarium use to serve alcohol at night. They probably still do but I haven't done that in a while.

Spent 10 years in Baltimore when I moved from NY. Made a lot of memories in this city. Baltimore locals showed me a lot of respect. Never was any animosity towards them. Down to earth and authentic people.

Baltimore might be the most underrated city in the country. The city doesn't give itself enough credit for it does right, or it's cultural influences.
