You cannot deny that this man has transcended the realms of Hip hop his pen is respected by heads but enjoyed by casuals in the pop realm earned a billion won multiple accolades and has been relevant for several eras

so @Deacon Frye is correct when he is talking about being objectively GOAT status its hard to argue even as a Nas stan who likes making camel threads

it also seems effortless for Jay to put out his stuff the part about not writing in the Booth and making high quality lyrical songs is an extremely rare skill

Ima Nas stan too but I can’t deny that Jay been putting out quality hip hop consistently for over two decades now. Nobody has matched his consistency. He has the respect of both lyricists lovers and casual fans. He might not be the best rapper ever but he definitely has had the best career

Breh put out his debut when he was 30. You know how many lyrics he had memorized by that age? Of course he went into the studio without writing.
