Pretty much. He did 65k on that album….he didn’t have a second single. He seemed bigger than what he was because of tv and radio . Any Two large state universities have 65k white students combined, lol….and he couldn’t even reach his semi targeted demographic, lol.
Then Drake was on the scene and he did the suburban kid thing a lot better…and was a better rapper. And well…that was it.
Asher lives in north Philly and is actually pretty accessible. I’ve seen him around locally and chopped it up with him a few times. he’s a really friendly, down to earth dude.
Retrohash and flowers on the weekend are actually dope ass albums, it’s kinda like a mac miller meets stankonia vibe on those joints. His newer stuff is not for everybody but is also slept on to a large degree

Dude didn’t look like a rapper at all lol. I remember going to a concert that he was apart of and dude was not good. He made the I love college song, that seemed like some shyt that became a hit by mistake. He won though cause he had his time for a quick second.
