Seeing as how the biggest fight in history just happened, that's obvious not true.

What really happened is there's only room for so many big players in the game, and when Golden Boy Promotions came up, Don was forced to fall back. Especially as he was always focused on heavyweights and the Klitschko's took the belts and went back to Europe without ever getting truly involved with him. All the biggest fights since the mid-00's have been at 154lbs and below, and they've almost all been some combination of Top Rank, Golden Boy, amd Mayweather Promotions.

GBP was REALLY trying to move Arum out of the game but they ended up phasing out King instead.

Whats that got to do with what I said? I never said boxing was dead or not having big fights? But there isnt a Ali, Holmes or Tyson for him to eat off of..

Once the heavyweight division dried up, his influence dried up with it. Also his slimy ass ways didn't do him any favors. Once the biggest boxers started promoting themselves it was a wrap. He could probably bully himself back in but there aren't enough fighters for Golden boy, Haymon, Arum, don't sleep on Todd Duboef either. Once Arum hangs it up or dies I think Duboef will be the number one guy in boxing honestly.

He’s had a couple of back surgeries and its very difficult for him to travel across country like he once did. Then his wife was sick then died like 4 years ago and he hasn’t been the same since, but he has been working on two black heavyweights one of them lost like 2 months back.
