Afghanistan wasn't a hell hole before the United States invaded?
The country was steeped in abject poverty, famine and civil war. All music, films, books and modern technology were banned and women were executed in football stadiums for adultery( i.e.being raped).
I'm all for pulling out of Afghanistan but what else were we supposed to do after 9/11?

I understand the point you're making is that terrorism has become a word often used to discredit people with valid grievances. There is some truth with that observation.
