Does snake method work good on the smokey mountain? I have one but have never thought to do the snake method. I usually just load up the charcoal.
I can consistently get 13 hours at 225-250. Get another grate thats the same size as your ash grate. Get some rebar ties and tie the grates perpendicular to each other. This will reduce the cross section size and your coals won't ash as quickly.

Once that bytch heats up it maintains the heat for HOURS, All I gotta do is add the coals, a wood of my choice and place the heat deflector plates between under the rack to avoid direct contact with the flames...easily keep the internal temp betweeen 275 and 300 degrees. temp stays the same for at least 3 hours before dropping only 5 to 7 degrees. usually I max out it at 300 and let it drop to 250 before its done

:blessed:I can cook a week worth of meat and veggies if I wanted to

got some spare ribs slow smoking right now, made my own carribean style BBQ sauce to dip my ribs in and that shyt is :noah:. Dont get it twisted I prefer dry rub over wet all day, but im dunkin my ribs and that sauce

Got greens, Mac and Cheese, BBQ beans..

to drink, I'm having peach sweet tea homemade:whew:

This damn grill cook so good and for so long I just wanna find other shyt to throw on there

Happy Memorial Day y'all.

Brisket came out mixed. Point meat was great, Flat was a little overcooked :francis: My dumb ass didn't use a thermometer so it's my own fault. But not too bad for the first time though, good learning experience.
