From what I can gather from the responses in here... It seems like the problem here is that her music isn't strong enough and people find her generic. So if that's the case, then first, she'd need some sort of gimmick or hook that people can grab onto that draws their interest. Every popular entertainer has a gimmick or image they sell to the world, and since she wants to be a pop star... She may have to go back to the lab and drum up some ideas. Then, she'd need to start being a lot more artistic and creative with her music. Doesn't even have to be on some Bjork shyt (no shots fired), just something that stands out. She doesn't have to crank out a bunch of Turn Up Tunes to get noticed. shyt like John Legend's "All of Me" or Adele's "Hello" work perfectly fine. I don't even think most pop stars now resort to that now anyways.
She also doesn't have a big enough fan base that'll ride for her and go nuts like how other pop stars' fan bases do. For example, if you even think about going after Beyonce or Rihanna, Lord help you. And Justin Bieber's "Beliebers" have lost their shyt because of what someone said to him or about him on more than one occasion. Crazy as they may be though, they're loyal as fukk and will ride for that artist. They request the songs to be played on the radio, sell out the arena tickets, buy their singles and albums on iTunes and even vote for them when the award shows that involves social media participation rolls around. They make all the difference. That's why all of those articles that tell artists to develop their fan bases before even thinking of fame exist. Because if you blow overnight and don't have a solid fan base, you're fukked. Look what happened to Iggy (though she failed for a number of reasons, but that's besides the point). Until she can get a strong fan base locked down, she might not be going any further.
