Starting to slowly become that way in the rap game too. Its Drake, Cole & Kendrick ......then the rest of the world
Don't sleep on the homie Big Sean, I think one more album and a headlining tour and :wow:

I hated dude music at first but the amount of hits he been churning out,the work he does in Detroit, his personality by all accounts people like the dude and feel he is genuine in his message. Dude is up there IMHO. that 'One Man can change the world' is :wow: had old white ladies crying on The View. The speech he does about his grandmom is a good look as well..gets people :mjcry:

Homegirl produced and engineered her 1st 2 mixtapes dolo from her bedroom. She got talent bruh :comeon:

She doesn't have the typical "attitude" they want women to have to be in the industry.

I imagine female supprters rather look like her than wanna be her.

Whereas a chick like Rihanna, they idolize and wish they could be her. I guess Rihanna is more eccentric and extravgant while tinashe is more laid back and nerdy.

Titties too big to be a crossover mainstream pop/r&b megastar

Look at any female r&b artist that became a huge international icon...and you'll find that none of them was holdin'

Whitney, Mary J., TLC, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Aliyah, Rihanna, Toni Braxton, Sade...even ones just below that level like Monica, Brandy, Erykah Badu, Ciara...ain't workin wit nun

And Mariah didn't suddenly sprout a chest until she was already well established :mjpls:

From my vantage point...this is her primary roadblock to potential superstardom

I feel like she doesnt know what kind of artist she wants to be. One minute she's Ciara, Next minute she's Jhene Aiko, next minute Aaliyah & then she's Beyonce. She needs to find an image and stick to it.

its quite simple actually. so far shes this era's Christina milian. I like milian & tinashe but I'm just keepin it 100.

milian moreso had pop appeal but she mainly went the r&b route from what I know. I'm seeing the same exact scenario playing out here. and shes just as bland & generic as milian as well.

tinashe isn't connecting to black females all like that. she doesnt have the appeal. and the only way she'll get around that is if she puts out something thats at least semi-groundbreaking.

she has 2 choices
1.) sellout and go pop
2.) stick to r&b music but make acting a higher priority.

If this song doesn't blow up anytime soon then something is really wrong. 2 million views, video been released like a month ago, let's see if it's gonna be a slow burner type of hit.

But they're all one and the same....

I just don't think RCA knows what to do with her...They marketed her pretty weak.Other than the Amethyst ep, Tinashe's been very generic. I kinda look at her as like the female Weeknd, both made similar sounding music early on, then dumbed it down, both have cult followings. The only difference is that Abel, has been hitting everything out of the park of what's been given to him. He took his career to the next level and also lives what he sings about. The Weeknd is authentic

Tinashe doesn't come off authentic with the image she's going far. Watching her videos and seeing her on interviews....Its like seeing 2 different people. Tinashe is a nerdy mixed girl with big boobs thats comes off sweet and full of innocence. Its hard for the public to connect with her because they don't know who she really is or seem to care. Even on youtube comments, I be seeing females talking about how fake she is. Maybe working with Max Martin will finally give her a smash hit, but if she don't come with one on her next album, its a wrap.

I'll still check for her though

She doesn't have a big enough mainstream song to take her to the next level or to make her fully mainstream. Righ now she's kinda where Ciara and other chicks were back in the 00s. They had urban songs but th mainstream only cared about Beyoncé and Rihanna. And that's kinda still the case today.

Ciara was bigger in 00s than Tinashe has been at any point of her career.

Tinashe is basically an underground artist with a mild hit record that rode the DJ mustard wave and got bumped up because of Drake

She's generic and a try hard.

Plus she strayed away from her original sound of her mixtapes and lost a ton of fans that way.

She's like an off brand Ashanti. Without Ashanti's writing skills.
