Another thing is, you can't just look at votes as changing things. Take for example us in America, blacks have buying power of 1 trillion, we can use that as a bargaining chip(not buying anything you don't need from non-black businesses or places that are against us) or giving a substantial amount of money to potential candidates in exchange for fighting for one of your causes.

also, from what i've notice in the US, the house and senate are more powerful than the president and it seems like people pay more attention to the presidency than the other two.

getting involved with politics?

We're letting these old farts make decisions for our future, why not try getting involved?

Has anyone hear taken steps to get shyt moving politically? Stories, advice, whatever.
You need one of two things. 1. Clout. 2 Money. If you don't have either, you can still try to get into politics, but it will be harder.
1. Clout. If you have a background that will not turn voters off, then all the better. Opponents will dig up skeletons. And for your benefit, you will have people dig up your opponents skeletons. If you don't have any, good for you. :troll:

2. Money. More money means you can afford to campaign. No money means you will be an unknown even though your name is on the ballot.

There are people who give a crap and can become Congressmen. That's cool. It's harder to become a Senator. It's kind of a joke but Obama was right when he said he can't change Washington. As a Congressman or Senator or President, you are only a part of the cog in a wheel to stop changes you don't agree with or to start changes you support. Filibusters and caucuses and stall tactics. It's a game. You know you can't change things without support of fellow politicians. If you are okay with that, then go for it.
Some politicians see that red tape/crap and don't want to deal with it, but, still want to make changes, so they go for different political positions like state governor or city mayor.

she had seen enough bad politics just from working close to others during those few years that she knew she would have to begin to engage in them if she stayed any longer or if she wanted to advance further.

This is true of any institution though.

It was always that way the constitution says it but the difference is that a colored pres. is now in the white house which means they CAN GET AWAY WITH A LOT UNDERHANDED shyt while half the country "adjust" to havin a nikka in the white house.

It was written to be this way though.

but more so in politics. which is ridiculous because they're suppose to be aiding the public. what's worse is that you exploit those who you're suppose to be helping. it seems like here you're expected to dabble in the bad politics. they only really make a fuss at you if your refuse to do anything at all to help those you're suppose to be helping and/or you make their situation noticeably worse. it's a big game of tricks. you don't really have to fix anything, just don't fukk it up. while those who are encouraging you to dabble in the bad politics (people with money) are the ones who are making the decisions or, better still, they're guiding the boat in any direction they see fit in order that they prosper...
