getting involved with politics?
We're letting these old farts make decisions for our future, why not try getting involved?
Has anyone hear taken steps to get shyt moving politically? Stories, advice, whatever.
You need one of two things. 1. Clout. 2 Money. If you don't have either, you can still try to get into politics, but it will be harder.
1. Clout. If you have a background that will not turn voters off, then all the better. Opponents will dig up skeletons. And for your benefit, you will have people dig up your opponents skeletons. If you don't have any, good for you.
2. Money. More money means you can afford to campaign. No money means you will be an unknown even though your name is on the ballot.
There are people who give a crap and can become Congressmen. That's cool. It's harder to become a Senator. It's kind of a joke but Obama was right when he said he can't change Washington. As a Congressman or Senator or President, you are only a part of the cog in a wheel to stop changes you don't agree with or to start changes you support. Filibusters and caucuses and stall tactics. It's a game. You know you can't change things without support of fellow politicians. If you are okay with that, then go for it.
Some politicians see that red tape/crap and don't want to deal with it, but, still want to make changes, so they go for different political positions like state governor or city mayor.
