What's the beef between Andre 3000 and Big Boi about?

Billy Ocean, I got mad respect for you cuz we usually see eye to eye, especially when it come to the WU but you actin like Dre should think like you do. Dre been made it known he don't give a fukk about money, dude ascribes value to much more important things in life. He probably never really made music for the money and the fame, he made it cuz he is creative, he wanted to express himself, be challenged, and speak his mind to people. Thus he would only want to preform if it provided him with such things he values, he says performing the same shyt that he made when he was in his 20s, in a totally different frame of mind doesn't inspire him or provide really any value to his life and I believe him. He didn't ask people to buy his music or tickets to his shows, he simply created it and other people liked it.

He could have created paintings or sculptures and made money off it while getting the aforementioned valuable experiences, that doesn't mean he should go in front of people and create the same piece of art over and over again. Or let's say he made art and never got paid but experienced such feelings or experiences more than he ever did making music I am sure he would prefer that over what he got from music, money included.

Ok, I understand that. Then get all the waaaaay the fvck away from hip hop then. Don't do your lil overrated 2 verses a year on Rick Ross or Jeezy singles. Don't do the shows. Make it clear to Big Boi you don't wanna be a part of the game anymore, including doing shows. The last thing hip hop needs is a prominent, even legendary artist, going around projecting that he's embarrassed to be a elder statesman, and performer, within the artform. Sh!t like that is one of the reasons people that aren't fans of hip hop don't look at it seriously and don't respect it. These artsy n!ggas is weirdos but even Kanye weird ass don't act like he's embarrassed by hip hop.

I don't see any pics of them together but even if there were they doesn't have anything to do with touring and making music together.

There is no beef.

Big was tight about the no touring thing, they've both spoken on that situation as far back AS Speakerboxxx/Love Below's release.

Dre doesn't like performing the same songs over and over. Remember the MTV awards when he shouted out "And Now for the MILLIONTH time!! HEY YA GODDAMNIT!"

Alot of artists go through that, especially the creative ones who are always striving to create something new and push themselves in different avenues.

There is No true beef however
I remember him speaking on it when he was promoting his last album, I didn't know he was speaking about a past situation.
They toured all last summer all the way until last fall. And these nikkas still hang out all the time. They were at the Blue Flame (strip club) literally 2 weeks for Ceelo's bday party.

Actually they hit alot of strip clubs together. They were at club blaze last week.

tf yall been, they toured last year :dahell:

Didn't know they toured.

I have one more question, correct me if I'm wrong. Wasn't there a song where someone got Dre and Big to collab individually without each others knowledge, put them both on the same track and Dre got tight about it after it dropped? I could see him being tight for a few reasons over it but I thought that plus the touring misconception meant he didn't want his name near his beef. Plus the fact that they haven't recorded together in years.

andre 3,000 wore something different which had a 'political statement' on it every show, all the gear went to some museum at a black college or something, they even had an article on it in the LA times. :wtf:

big boi hoped on pink matter and sorry.

"It's important for me to be clear about the origins of my contributions to 'Pink Matter' and 'Sorry.'

I was approached as a solo artist by both Frank Ocean & Tip. I discussed musical direction with each artist and completed my verses. It was after that when Big Boi's name came up.

I never want to mislead our audience - I worried that some would think these were Outkast collaborations. These songs are not Outkast collaborations. I discussed this rationale with Big, Frank and T.I. and everyone agreed. That is why I was surprised to read about these remixes.

I understand that anyone can put out an unofficial remix to any song but I have an obligation to be honest with fans about what this is … and what it isn't."

Yeah, that's it. I get it but it still sounds a lil' funny. But if there's no beef then there's no beef.
