Them Lo Lifes...
he didnt jus didnt tour because he didnt feel like it..

big was makin noise with his singles on the urban side of music..

dre was makin noise where it count n the bigger picture...pretty much outside of the hood..

if u go back look at everything dealin with speakerboxx n the love below...u would have seem the industry was tryin 2 break the group up..david letterman got prolly the first n llast couple of perfomances from dre..

before hey ya ..u never seen outkast on letterman...leno..or ellen ..hell even regis had em on his show...

dre saw what hey ya was doin nationally...not once did get big get called to perform the way u move..or ghettomusick...

everytime outkast got scheduled to a tv show or somethin they wanted hey ya,.,,didnt give a fukk about big...

dre even pissed off an staff at an awards show..because he sung prototype..n sent it str8 to big boi to perform...they forced him to comeback out to perform hey ya...

10 the hard way was suppose to drop..next...but jive got their contracts...n was forcin dre to put out a solo..since the love below was originally suppose to have been a solo...

but he didnt...he wanted to put the idlewild movie...that was originally suppose to been based off the album...

10 the hard way got put on the shelf... big boi workin on his solo...jive not givin a fukk about what big do...dre made them listen to the singles big had..the one he had with mary j..n the royal flush ft 3000 n raekwan..both became singles...

outkast had idlewild out jive didnt really promote it....jive was jus lookin 4 the next hey ya out of dre..n he would not budge...

son of chico dusty was ready...big got shelved...dre said fukk music..i do shyt when i wanna ..not when these nikkas want me to so they can whore me...thats how we been doin it..fukk the change..

dre let big perform on every show during the idlewild run..n he jus sat there...

big didnt take a loss really..he stayed even..he signed with ti...jive force grand hustle n atlantic hand into not releasin big album..

big signed with def jam...jive forced him to take the singles off the album and everything with andre 3000 voice on it...in order to even release the album he did it..n also release those songs on the internet..n told ppl where the songs belonged in original order...as a fukk u to jive...

big made money...didnt lose a step...

fast forward to this n last yr.. they finally did coachella..why when dre finally get back in the tourin bug..this happens

had dre did the opposite of everything i said..big boi wouldnt be dmc ..phife...latavia roberson status..
All makes sense now.

nah jive saved mystikal..

mystikal made alot of money while on jive...mystikal made sure master p couldnt have his way with him...no limit died..mystikal got a lil bit bigger..

spice 1 ate good

e-40 did

they dont own the outkast name...they just thought they could cash in on the platinum n diamond albums outkast was pushin..and thought hey dre the mastermind..we can jus use him..n failed..

pimp c had it better than bun....at jive...pimp had a solo deal..production deal..n he had 2 groups signed to jive..v-12 boys (pimp boosie n webbie) and broad playas ( pimp n too short)

pimp kinda owed jprince..from the shyt he did from the kidnappin to the pen...so he made sure to let lil j eat...off of him...pimp was smart..he never put a solo album out...he put out compilations with other artist

everybody know pimp a throwed producer..why out of all those albums..pimp didnt even produce more than 4-5 songs ...u can go look too..

pimp let j eat where he wanted him to eat..recoup off that..

soon as pimp died j made sure he got that jewlery n those bentleys back..

pimp's wife is sittin on the product..that pimp kept from rap-a-lot..

bun cant really say shyt ....kuz its his fault....had they never made big pimpin... jive wouldnt have pressured ugk..to try n recreate that song on the dirty money album..

jive always was on some..if u can make it else where u better make it here..

jive pushed dirty money back so many times... n still didnt get the jay z feat

u would think would have return the favor..but he didnt..

took 4-5yrs for jay to even do it for bun...then the nikka didnt even show up for the video... but ugk made it to the island for his shyt...

jive made it seem like bb king was trippin...e-40 was trippin..run dmc was trippin on some of the samples..

but it wasnt ...jive tried censoring them...n tried dj quik'in ugk..meanin they cannot get outside work ...

pimp did what he wanted to ...had shyt ready for those trill azz mixes..n kept money..n did shyt under aliases..percy mack..tony snow..etc...

no matter how fukked up jive is...or was..ugk never gave rights to rap-a-lot...

they were jus signed as solo artist..n pimp was work for hire...
How did Jive save Mystikal when he had already moved a few hundred thousand while signed to Big Boy? Big Boy was rollin' at the time to with Partners N' Crime, Ghetto Twinz, Tim Smooth, Black Menace and production from Precise etc. He never needed them, all they did was re-release an album he had already made that was already selling. No Limit did way more for Mystikal and his career than Jive.

Bun B said that Jive didn't even tell them about a Sprite commercial they were offered. That's the kind of dumb bs they did. Not only could the artist and label have gotten paid but it also would have meant more exposure and more sales. UGK should have been big way before a corny Jay-Z co-sign.

Yeah you had people there who ate but they would have eaten anywhere they went. Spice-1 would have been bigger if he was somewhere else. Imagine Spice-1 on Priority records back in the day instead.

n open lanes for mystikal outside of the south...his 2 biggest singles wasnt on no limit..and he was nominated for a grammy twice ..best rap album and best solo perfomance..

Andre 3000 was never built for like limelight. He was having nervous breakdowns and stuff because of all the attention he was getting. I don't think he ever expected Outkast to blow like it did. I refused to attend those reunion tour dates. shyt was like seeing Ali fight past his prime
before hey ya...

outkast didnt have no problem touring..they toured all the time...

hell on the low..i bet dre was gettin side offers to tour without big...been big's brother...big's kids godfather...n the nikka that helped big save his marriage...

dre way to loyal to fukk over his nikka...

its a hot 97 interview where paul ebro n the other nikka...was tryin 2 clown dre...n big stopped em dead in they tracks...n said they actin like some lil hoes...his attitude changed quik too...for a nikka to lose a couple of millions...due to ya potna wantin to tour...stood up for his nikka..

bun b wouldnt have done that...pimp talkin shyt bout bun industry friends...on tour...bun wanna stop tourin to fukk up his nikkas money as a lesson..on some leave my pals alone pimp..

dre not tourin was dre not becoming larger than the group..and not lettin hey ya split them..u notice the more they got dre to do hey ya..the more controversy came with it...indians coming out the woodworks sayin he is disrespectin...

look how many groups in the game that has broke up because the industry split them up...

funny thing about all of this is... dre was still that nikkas potna..to help him with his album...gave 16s and production..and one of the 16s he gave big..got big a grammy nod on a song jive refused to let make the album...

royal flush got the grammy nom.. how the hell u get a grammy nom for a song released on the internet..with no radio play or promotion

sumthin gotta give was durin the elections..

dre made sure his boy didnt starve...career wise..he gave him heat ...whenever big called he was there...

iyeah you right about that cee lo shyt. went to a big boi/cee lo concert in 2011. big boi shyt had the crowd rocking. i was probably the only dude who knew most the songs cee lo was doing. he started with the goodie mob. crowd was kinda dead during they set, some white dude yelled "do Kung fu fighting".:dead: shyt that annoyed me is they were doing songs that featured big boi and this nikka aint come out, even more annoying was that i could see him watching from the side of the stage.:beli: then did shyt from that stray bullets mixtape, crowd didn't know shyt from that neither. it wasn't until he started doing shyt from the lady killer that the crowd started moving. they got hype for crazy and fukk you though.
he had a show in oregon...

didnt nobody know shyt but crazy n fukk u...

Of course they would do the commercial. For a group out the South back then that was a big deal. You missed the point, Jive didn't tell them about the commercial deal. It was presented to the label, not them. That isn't uncommon for corporate to goto the label instead of directly to the artist. At the end of the day, the label would probably have to sign off on the deal. If you doubt it, talk to Bun, I'm just repeating what he said. Pretty sure it was the Combat Jack interview he spoke on it.

Still fail to see how Jive saved him. He was successful out the gate. He did good indie before Jive (300,000), then good with No Limit with two Platinum records. He kept elevating, multi-plat success/accolades was inevitable. I agree the Pharrell track took him to new levels but I don't know how you can accredit that success to Jive just because it happened under them. Technically he was under Jive even when he was under No Limit. I just see it as Mystikal growing as an artist. If you have some info to show it was Jive's idea or whatnot then I'll respect it.

You talking about Rico Wade? Future is or was Dungeon Family. I think they were calling him second generation Dungeon Family.
