A lot of people say It Was Written is better than Illmatic
"The Aftermath Presents...." doesn't count but if it did....boy...
God's Son to Streets Disciple
God Son was a near classic and Streets Disciple was a pretty good album. Nothing about SD was a "huge dropoff". It was just ehh average. Some classic songs on it though

I used to think illmatic was Nas best album. But as time goes on IWW >Respectfully disagree. IWW was a huge stepdown to illmatic. I don't really play IWW other than like 2-3 tracks.

The Coming to When Disaster Strikes
Capital Punishment to Yeeeah Baby
Savage Life to Savage Life 2
No Way Out to Forever
It was a very good album but not a classic. It's in the tier after his classics and the highest in that tier though.God's Son was a classic. He had his highest charting single, it was his most personal vulnerable album. Salaam Remi was at his best, we got 3 Alchemist beats, even Alicia Keys did her thing on production. We got a posthumous 2pac/Nas collaboration.
I beg to differ sir.
