Why is it so glamourized?

It seems like every new rapper talks about smoking or has pictures of smoking, as if smoking is some thing you have to do to be a rapper.

Obviously not all of them enjoy it, numerically it wouldn't make sense for all rappers to be weed smokers.

Right but not avidly, as presented.

Most ppl I know have and will smoke. But not everyone is smoking weed all the time.

I love green to a certain degree, but it makes me sluggish and anxiety/paranoid. I just smoke from time to time. But I know a lot of ppl who share my story with the herb.

SO not everybody is lighting up like they act in hiphop/

Because a lot of musicians like to smoke weed (maybe even the majority. ive never met a musician who doesnt blow.) And rap is all about posing and being larger then life. Of course they're gonna show off how they can attain tons of their favorite drugs.

I absolutely understand smoking weed and creativity. Completely.

But this isn't about creating. These cats are showing a lifestyle of always being high. Maybe its just me because being high is an alternate mindstate thats less productive.

But everytime a camera comes out, they are smoking blunts. Regardless of if they are recording or not. High before interview. High all the time.

It's not just weed breh, rappers out her talking bout molly, lean , and what not. Me personally I smoke weed twice and it made me depressed and paranoid. But I admit I'm a bit bias when it comes to drugs because a couple of my family members are addicts and one actually od on some dope.

White executives promoting drugs
If you smoke weed you lost.

Exactly what I'm saying. What's the reason for this madness?

I like weed, But come on, it looks so ratchet that it's glamourized. ANd it's worse than the lean deal. Lean isn't everywhere or talked about nearly as much.

BUt in every music video, verse, album pics, it's all about smoking weed, getting high.

Like it's some rite of passage you must smoke to be edgy or sell.

Even drake is on the tip, "2 Things I'm about it tlaking blunt and getting bunted" llike what? Come on fam.

It seems like a forced agenda.Very few artists defend not smoking.

country music and drinking

rock and cocaine

dont act like this is new
It's not but it's no longer part of the lifetstyle.

Sex is part of the lifestyle. Weed is forced, like yo that's whats up, u smoke. Cool. WHy do I need to see 1000 visuals of you smoking.

You think it makes you look cool in an industry where everyone smokes?

Thats the problem, the labeling of these ideas with black culture. White people smoke weed too, but it's not as presented.

If you look at media, black people don't consume beer or tequila or whiskey or cocaine, we consume blunts, molly, and Hennessy

Ironically, this is okay to me. At least Kirko's joint. Sure the song talks about lean but it's tastefully done although its still damagin to our communitee.

It kills me when there's a complete lack of artistry just fukkery being promoted.
