if i had to pick one thing i'd say that i had a petty lil retail job for a while and i left that job and cashed out my 401K. i didn't have much in there cause i started it late so it was maybe like $5000 or so but i could have rolled that over into my current company's 401K had i left it alone.

with the magic of compound interest it would have caused my current 401K to be able to grow faster than it will now.

took out practically all i had in my checking account at the time, to go buy a used luxury car. even though years have past and i'm better off because of that experience, it still hurts thinking about how lovely the 9k would look in my account right now.
