Cosigned on a car for my mom; did a internship out of town for three months and she let it get repo. She didn't tell me and the dealership didnt notify me. I took the credit hit. I've since then repaired my credit. ADVICE: NEVER COSIGN FOR shyt.

Go to a private college for 3 whole semesters :aicmon:

signing up with sprint and letting a faimly member on my account is a close second :ohlawd:
i fell for that cell phone hustle too. i finally get that the reason these people ask you to put them on your plan or borrow money is cause they can't afford that shyt themselves.

if they could afford to pay you back or pay the bill they wouldn't need you to be the middle man between them and their financial catastrophe. they're only asking you to do it cause they can't really afford the shyt. when push comes to shove they'll also throw you under then financial bus meant for them whether intentionally or inadvertently.

cell phone companies are in the business to sell phones. they make their entire living off doing it and they look at the person you know and refuse to give them one. its just like banks are in the business of loaning out money. they don't even make money unless they loan it out and they look at your folk and say nah i'm good. it takes a real fool to step in and offer to be a middle man for a person that a company that makes their livelihood doing what this person is trying to get done refuses to deal with.

Buying sneakers. I've stopped it this year
i got like 3 pairs of Jordans and a pair of Griffeys and a good solid pair of Air Force Ones.
i'm probably gonna get about 3 more pairs of Jordans and stop buying them and wear them so rarely that then i'd doing something nice and i want nice shoes they basically still look new.

i honestly think the number 1 thing young black males blow money on is sneakers.

the thing i learned in life is people are resourceful. if you told your mother no life would have gone on and she would have found another way. usually when somebody tells you that you're the only person they can depend on what they're really saying is out of all their options you're the easiest.

sometimes you gotta sit back and look at the situation and remove all emotion from the decision making process. you look at mom and go she can't even get approved for a car in her name cause she more than likely trashed her own name. if she'd do that to herself and she has to live with it personally and directly having it effect her what would she do to my name where it wouldn't effect her at all.
