People giving it less than a 9 through the game, treating it like an everyday shooter. You have to immerse yourself into the world of Columbia, listening to the voice recorders, and exploring. Not many games are touching this game, in the whole history of gaming.
You think nikkas are flying through it like its Call of Duty? :stopitslime:

I tried, and was actually prepared for a fukking experience. The game just isn't all that.

In the whole history of gaming? LMAO.

What is seeing Bioshock Infinite then? I'm open minded. Please, do tell. :rudy:

Plenty of fukking games. Did you just start gaming this past year? I'm not going to make a list. Bioshock Infinite is average as fukk nikka.

OK buddy now you're reaching. Have you just started gaming? All I want you to do is name one game that is overall a better game than Infinite.

Breh. I've been gaming a long time. You let a somewhat engaging storyline and an impressive artstyle cloud your judgement of the actual fukking gameplay which is repetitive as hell and nothing special in the slightest.

Games this year better than Infinite off the top of my head? Tomb Raider, Ni no Kuni, Pikmin 3, and The last of Us.

nikkas are so impressed by shiny lights n shyt that they forget about gameplay :scusthov:

I spent 60 on Infinite day one on some, "This bout to be GOTY" type shyt, so don't think this is just some random hating. Game just ain't all that.

:wtf: you one that stuff breh, at it's best it's a serviceable game with a good and immersive story at its worse it's a unengaging gameplay matched with a story which tries to strike chords but instead ends up taking the easy way out instead of coming to more mature conclusions.
I know people have different preferences but to me the gameplay while functional for a shooter in my opinion it was one of the worst FPS I played this gen (I don't play a lot of FPS admittedly) Far Cry 3, CoD4, Halo: Reach, Halo 3, even the gameplay in Halo 4 (which I didn't really like) was better. I'd put the gameplay on the same level as Crysis 2 :yeshrug: They really needed to have a way to map a few vigors to the dpad because as it is it was a big hassle to be switching back and forth between vigors to do proper combos.
Why could I do the horse kick, follow up with a bird and then light it on fire? or how about a ram followed up by a horse kick, put up your shield and then blast away at your enemies? to me the constant pausing messed up the flow of action.
I can name better games than BI that were released this year: Last of Us, AC4, hell I'll put SR4 and Killzone shadow fall up there (assuming it doesn't go off the rails after the first few missions), Battle Block Theatre, Splinter Cell Black List, Diablo 3 (console) I'd put all those game over Bioshock infinite.

damn good game...really dug the story...got drawn into Elizabeth like a muthafukka, great written character....the gameplay was cool and challenging...would've been better if it was like the demos they showed of the game when first announcing it....overall, think it's a game people should experience...gotta check out the new dlc and see how they trying to tie it to rapture...

OK
I was waiting for an epic showdown between Booker and Songbird....:lupe:

But then the game ended and it never happened.....:wow:

Outside of that it was a solid game. I'd give it an 8

so true about the showdown with songbird...I was waiting for that muthafukka like I got something for his ass when we meet...and it never happened....when they first showed the game, they made it seem like it would...wish they'd release the shyt they showed originally...like the bar fight...or Elizabeth hitting your fireball with electricity and dropping on muthafukkas...

the problem is this is just a solid game, but it has the promise of a great game, which is frustrating.

i give it 8/10

9 graphics - technologically it pushed unreal engine 3 as far as it can go, which is to say that it is showing its age when you compare it to stuff like frostbyte1.0 which came out before it. in terms of art direction, it is top notch. everything looks like it was crafted with care and an interest in creating a specific time and place

6 gameplay - i found the game kinda boring and a step back from the first game in the series. the vigor-based powers were not very fun to use, the environment was just a stiff series of thinly disguised deathmatch arenas with practiaclly no interactivity. the rail system is only well used in one place. i think wide open spaces were a bad choice for this game. the fact that there are civilians in this game that you cant really talk to just add to the feeling that you are walking among robots. it really undermines the gameplay to have to think of all the wasted opportunities for RPG elements or maybe even stealth to play a role. the original bioshock worked because it was in tighter spaces and everybody you see could be an enemy-just walking around killing stuff with the occasional hacking of a vending machine or security drone seemed like the appropriate thing to be doing. infinite's world seems to invite you to do much more but it really delivers less.

10 sound - great music, great voice acting. there is some acting in this game that can put a lot of movies to shame. music is well chosen to create a sense of atmosphere, and there is even some funny stuff involving music from the late 20th century showing up many decades too early. from a tech standpoint, it is all well recorded.

7 story - ultimately i found the plot and the ending to not be satisfying, that being said, the dialog is never stupid and the B-story of elizabeth's maturation is told in a great way by the voice acting and the animation. the C-story of the vox rebellion is not told well at all, and the setting ultimately proves to be a bad place for a game about killing lots of people.
