Thats why those who drive trucks make good money. Not many are willing to drive that long uninterrupted.

Oh yea i know they do make good money. I have an uncle who is a trucker. Didn't mean to say it like that...was speaking more about me personally i couldn't do it unless the pay was astronomical and even then i doubt i could do it for long. I totally HATE driving long distances. I wish somebody would hurry up and figure out teleportation already.

Well the farthest I have ever drove by myself was from Birmingham, AL to Severn, MD to see a good friend of mine graduate from nursing school. Going it took me 10.5 hours. I only stopped twice for gas and to use the restroom. On the way back, I took a little longer because I had got sick and took some medicine and I had to eat something with the medicine.

Now the farthest driving period was driving from Los Angeles, CA back to Birmingham, AL with my then girlfriend but she's my wife now. Her travel assignment was up and she drove there with another friend that was a travel nurse. We left LA at about 9am CDT. We ended up spending the night in Texas and then the next day we left at about 7:45am CDT and we was pulling into her driveway at 1am Monday morning.

Decatur where its greater
Oklahoma City to Tuskegee University

Straight through, no sleep after being up since 6 am. I was up for about 20 straight, I should've crashed my car numerous times. Lord takes care of fools and babies.

I did like 19 hours straight once from Springfield, MO to South Carolina. Should've been like 14 but had to drive to Kansas City to swap out cars. Then get within an hour of South Carolina and the highway was completely closed and the detour tacked on an extra two and a half hours. I was already dead tired. Ended up getting a speeding ticket and a DWI test because when I was pulled over I looked so out of it that he thought I was drunk.

Dallas to DC. Stopped in Nashville over night. Never again, I think it was like 21 hours on the road.
