If you live in the bronx or westchester, you will fvked by tolls if you drive.

That's why I would prefer to live in queens or Brooklyn, there are a lot of free bridges.

In the Bronx, you have the Henry Hudson, throgs neck bridge, rfk bridge, white stone bridge, I think it's $8.50 each way. Don't make any friends further than Washington heights or Harlem, cause you won't get to see them.

I drove from the Bronx to Queens for work for four years making half of what I make now. The HH is not 8.50

If I want to be super cheap, I could always take the 59th to queens then BK. I wouldn't need tolls for Manhattan

Here in new york seems to be 100k(pre-taxed) for the lifestyle that i want.
Any nice one room apt will be a minimum of 2k , plus i would like to have a mininum of 2-3k leftover after im done paying all my bills.

shyt crazy when you think about what "nice"pays for..

i've seen "nice"buildings where they have worse rodent issues than the projects..

besides maybe riverdale, shyt is mostly a rip off..

there are some newer buildings that are very good...but unless it has a gym etc, its like damn...im paying so and so for a nice building, but im right in the hood still:stopitslime:

To go to 59th st from the Bronx to go to queens to Brooklyn is a long drive. I'm guessing that drive with traffic during the weekday would be at least a hour and a half.
It's just easier to pay a toll and get there in less than half the time.

I use to do it too when I was younger, but I'm 31 now. I can't handle long commutes with a long work week, and going to the gym.

I live in queens now, I don't chill with any girl that doesn't live in queens, Brooklyn or downtown Manhattan because the commute with traffic and tolls in NYC make dating anyone further too much of a hassle.

Breh, you're not listening.

In my very first post in this thread I stated my commute wouldn't be severely impacted because I work in the Bronx which = no toll. I could actually make a 10 min drive to the train and still be at work in under 45 mins.

So obviously going to Queens or Bk wouldn't be an everyday thing. Even if I went to BK every weekend I think I could manage $17 in toll (Again, I did it Mon-Fri making HALF what I make now).

I'm not even gonna shell out $1100 for a 2 bedroom apartment that will be in MY NAME. In fact, I close tomorrow. I'm not thinking about how far I'm gonna travel to "date." :mjlol:
