Let's just run with your idea so you can see how you're wrong here. If he was just paying "$650 (the most he ever spent in a club) for a bottle" and he said he had a table, wouldn't he have had to pay for the table too on top of that, therefore making the amount he spent for that night actually more than $650? So in that scenario, he would had to have paid in $650 on the bottle AND then the cost for the table. He's already said what you are discussing is NOT the case, and that what I was saying was the case. He already said it was part of the price for the table and he got a bottle with it. What's there to argue about?

First of all, :umad: writing novellas and shyt :pachaha:

Secondly, you still don't get it... if I get a table with a $300 minimum, then buy a $500 bottle which comes to $650 with tax and gratuity, then I've spent $650 on a bottle. How this eludes you is beyond me, but it is hilarious. :heh:

It was nothing for me to type that. I dont mind helping people understand things when they clearly don't know what they are talking about

Honestly, name me a club that has a table *minimum* that comes with NOTHING, and I'll name you a club that no one wants to go to. NO club works the way you are saying :damn:

Foregoing that fact, the most you spent at that club that night(the idea we are discussing here) would be $950. I think that's the point you are missing. No one is disputing/discussing the cost of just the bottle, but rather talking about the whole night. :pachaha: No one is walking around the floor with a bottle, so there has to be a table cost associated somewhere, so it's not just "for the bottle". You gotta pay to get on the table, off jump.

AND he already said what he was talking about (what I was saying), so IDK your deal here. You gotta be :troll:in'.

:dead: @ you still not understanding what a table minimum is. Once I bought that bottle I met the table minimum for that fictional night..I don't owe another $300 on top of that.

You stay telling on yaself, clearly you live vicariously through other niccas and have never done this forreal. Indeed this is a minor point, but watching you tap dance around trying to save face is hilarious to me. :pachaha:

As far as spots with minimums: the great thing about Vegas is it's such a party city, they have contacts readily available online. Google Marquee Las Vegas, call the host and inquire about reserving a table this Saturday night ( you'd be best to tell him it's more women than guys, too, cuz Vegas more than any other city, cares about ratios) and when he gives you a number of $1500+ for a five person table, don't worry, you won't owe an extra $1500 on top of whatever drinks you buy.:heh:

No one is saying you will owe more than the table minimum. Where have you read that at? That's common sense. I said you're allowed to buy as much as you want.

Unless you are getting the table for free, there is a cost associated with the table. What it comes down to is whether the costs of the table is offset by what is purchased (some clubs yes, some clubs no). Yes, you pay for the bottle, but all-in-all, the costs of those bottles is attributed to the price of the table/to be in that section. IE. At the point of you spending $1500 on bottles, you've offset the table costs with the amount of liq you've bought.

That's the whole point of minimums (the actual costs). Not to just pay for the liq, but to offset the costs of table section entrance as well. That's the business of things. What's so hard to understand about this?

nikka, I'm in a frat that buys tables/throws parties all the time. I've drawn up/looked over party contracts for parties I've thrown/for events/concert after parties at clubs/etc. I know what I'm talking about.

I threw the biggest homecoming after party in my city last year and handled all of the paperwork/promotions/club relations/table reservations/etc. You just wanna argue. :dead:

So where'd the $950 come from, then if you didn't think it was the $650 bottle + the $300 minimum?

At least now you're admitting that clubs DO operate that way.... keep tap dancing, friend. :heh:

I was adding in the costs, because not many clubs would say "$300 minimum", They'd say "2 bottle" or "1 bottle" minimum, but not "$300 minimum" unless that was going to be a separate cost, because that wording would be confusing.

There are parties where you will have to pay a cost for a table and it won't go to liquor. I never seen a party where the minimum is specifically a certain amount (ie. $300, other wise people would be buying drinks on separate cards with different tabs and not using the actual bottle service) Most clubs that have a minimum will say "2 bottles" or "1 bottle", not "$300", but I have personally thrown parties where you would pay $1.2K for a table and $200 of that would be snatched up for the cost of the table, so in a sense you would pay $200 to get on the table, with $1K for bottles to meet the rest of the financial obligation (I only throw parties for really big/special occasions though so clubs jack up the costs as well)...

I was never saying that clubs don't operate that way. Just that the cost isn't just "for a bottle". If it was just for that, people would be on the regular floor with bottles and people would be ordering single drinks with tables and "bottle" service would be pointless.

You know what, lemme stop. I forget that you are probably speaking on the side of a consumer and not an actual business person. I can see how to the eye of a customer, it looks like they are just paying "for bottles", but for someone who is actually in the business of event/party planning the perspective of things is a lot different. So I guess to the outside eye, it would look like you are just paying for bottles, power to you for thinking that, but to someone who has had to draw up the costs of things, they'd see the offset costs of special admission, VIP sections, waitresses, etc.

Like, did you pay "$650 for a bottle" or "$650 to skip the line, sit in this special section, have a waitress, with security, AND a bottle". There's a difference. I never said ole boy had to pay any more or less than the $650 he mentioned for his table + bottle.

Edit: Let me not say I haven't seen a club with a minimum, just not a low minimum.
