The NBA is hard. It's like Cuban signed Rodman and built up the teams name in Dallas. Had a exciting team around Finley, Dirk, and Nash. Try to built a contender and it finally worked out when they got favorable match-ups. Now it's time to hit the reset button and he is getting scared. I am sure they will make a run for CP3 and Dwight but they only have so much money, would have a team full of NBDL players and Dirk is old and is getting worse each year.

It's about that time Mark. :damn:

He had a good thing going. He shoulda stepped back and just let Donnie Nelson keep running the show.

The Mavs have been one of the most successful franchise over the past 12-13 years.

I think that title team could've still came outta the west last year. OKC was good but the Mavs kinda had their number.

Dallas like Memphis isn't a superstar team. They need to avoid match-ups to get the Finals. Like Memphis isn't a good match-up v. a healthy OKC. OKC would win every time in a seven game series. Dallas needed to avoid San Antonio that year. Sometimes it's all about match-ups. That's why Memphis as a 8th seed beat SA as a 1st seed and same for GS as a 8/ Dallas as a 1st.

I agree, they shouldn't have blown it up but they weren't that talented and OKC was going to be better next year and SAS would be healthy again. Dallas wasn't really a contender. They just got lucky with match-ups and played Miami in the right year.

Miami is just too talented for right now in the East but Memphis can get them but it's will be a tough series.

Barea got $18mil from Minnesota. Were we supposed to match that?:scusthov:

Jason Kidd hasn't made a layup since 2003 and a shot since the All-Star break:heh:

The only real decisions were Jason Terry and Tyson Chandler. Terry played out the final year of his deal after the title and there was no point in keeping him. We needed to get younger and we still do. Badly. Resigning an aging vet is not the answer.

Rumor is we offered Chandler 1yr/$20mil and he took the security with NYK instead. I can kind of understand Cuban's hesitancy in giving him a multi-year deal worth $50mil+ when at the moment, Tyson had never really been a consistent year-to-year player at ANY point in his career. Dude was constantly injury prone, even when he was balling with David West and CP3 in NO.

I'm glad Tyson got the 2012 NBA DPOY to make up for everybody sleeping on him during the 2011 season:to:

Don't worry guys. Cuban has the GOAT plan. Sign Brittany Griner and play her alongside Dirk in the frontcourt. Lose about 65-75 games and "win" the "lottery." Wiggins with Dirk :takedat:

Y'all offered JJ $20 mil for 1 year but JJ wanted the years.

:childplease:

Who would give JJ Barea $20mil for 1 year :mindblown:

Plus, this makes no sense. NBA money is guaranteed. Why not take the 1 year for 20 mil instead of 4 years for 18mil? You honestly think JJ Barea thought to himself "Let me work 3 more years for $2mil less!!" :aicmon:

"Dallas isn't a superstar" team :patrice:

Dallas isn't paying that kind of money and Prokhorov isn't trying to start over.

Why do you keep bringing this up? Brooklyn isn't rebuilding.
