Most artists don’t like it. MJ hated it. Most artists perform because that’s where they make they most money. Artists don’t like going on the road and I can’t blame them. Also before posters startin here. 21 still does shows, he’s just saying he don’t HAVE to do it to still be well off
Do you have a link for this? Every official biography or verified story i’ve read said the opposite. Michael LOVED performing for his fans and touring the world performing. He didn’t enjoy The Victory tour for various reasons but the performing wasn’t the issue.
Also even if you own your Masters wouldn’t that give you MORE of a motivation to tour because touring helps album sales and catalog sales

Its called honing your craft and building a catalogue you can build inspiration from or dig into when you need songs/verses. Not to mention feature verses.
You're not going to see much success by only being in the studio when its time to release a project.
You can do all that from home
There’s nothing you can do in a studio you can’t do from home except record and even that you can do at home
You can take the beats home, write the music there then go to the stu when it’s time to record

What artist “honed their craft” by writing music in studios?
And I get what y’all saying bout the bus thing but y’all really mean to tell me u got a prob with traveling by bus for a few months at a time when u getting paid 5-6 figures per appearance?
You’d have to be well into the 8 figures for that to not be worth it

Getting paid 6-8 figures to travel with first class flights and hotels paid for as well?
Spending all those hours on flights or buses.
