You dont gotta use it heavy but to not have it all means you have something to hide. Ugliness, you're a cheater, criminal background, introverted lifestyle, etc.

Firstly I'm abit paranoid, I don't trust what is done with my information by even a site like the coli let alone a Facebook or twitter. I'm anti-social, I don't really find people interesting and I prefer my company more than the company of others, With timeline updates and all that I'd kinda be forced into their company. People display the worst of themselves, Insecurities and naiveties without even realising it.

Monetary reasons $$$

If I could find a way to profit off what I post..Then I would be heavy into it

Facebook ..Instagram and Snapchat and Twitter making a gang of money off all y'all FOOLS

Yet y'all providing them with content

How a broad like Mali J got 780k followers but got to resort to SELLING AZZ is mind blowing :why:

Those little parties she hosting every once in a while is only getting her 500 a pop ..That aint enough to pay the rent ...

I'm more on The Coli and Instagram than anything else.

Facebook has been :hhh:

I'm 35 years old. The fukk I need a Snapchat for?

Same goes with Twitter .

Basically, and only 2 weeks ago I deleted the Instagram app from my phone. Found myself looking at pictures of things that mean nothing to me. after some time you feel like you've seen all the fine girls there are, and all the amazing cribs and destinations in the world. Right now, I use Whatsapp, Coli and youtube and my Music apps (Tidal, Deezer).

Snapchat I have never used, same with Twitter.

I admitt I don't have much of a social life, i.e., I'm low status. More importantly, I don't want anybody hitting me up for favors when I come up.

Social media's cool because it allows us to share and receive information quickly, but there are many downsides as well.

Which is shedding light on some of y'all who do Chamberlain numbers :leostare:

You AI or multiple people :jbhmm:

And if you got multiple accounts doing numbers :merchant: you crazier than me

I'm boring and don't have the energy to pretend im not. I use Twitter just to stay up on stuff & get random thoughts off. I have a few thousand followers so i only really use that

Hate to say this but I tend to think something is off with someone who has a huge presence on social media that isn't an actual celebrity.

The first thing is usually the number of friends. Don't care what anybody says but the idea of someone having hundreds or thousands of supposed friends that they keep in contact with is bullshyt. That's what we call collecting profiles. You can often tell that something doesnt add up if someone has a thousand friends but only getting a hundred something or 80 likes.

I tend to also think that there's a lot of fake people that use that shyt to present their dream selves instead of their real selves that they are hiding. It's either that or they basically are begging for attention and yo... some of these people will do anything for that shyt. I've done seen how many guys literally getting naked for likes and followers. Now if you're a grown ass man and doing that, you need to check yourself quick.

I have a Facebook to keep in touch with friends/family, but is Instagram worth having? Any Coli brehs get lucky with those Instathots? :lupe:

Those instathots are probably hard as fuk to get at. I'm guessing its a combination of being real good looking, having a ton of followers, and havin
Good point breh. Thanks! But you could take this onto social media and gather a following based on your thoughts. How would it be to have a side hustle podcast of ppl who listen to you?

If you are lame then yes it is lame.

I hear ya. But it seems like We wouldn't be friends... kinda negative, and extreme... but I actually like your posts!

Not sure where you guys get this fallacy tho of having to prove yourself as if social media is the advent of that. You are constantly having to prove yourself in everyday life, friendships, business, relationships.

It's nature, we don't support or believe in what we can't see. That's not feeling pressured to prove yourself, that's your ego speaking, it's common sense.

You are lame breh. Stop it. Red flags all over it. You don't have real friends and there's nothing wrong with it.

You prolly cool ppl too, but no one fukks with anyone that negative.

Projecting about chasing p*ssy. Most ppl I know ain't slidin into DMs. They just use social media the same way y'all do here.

Hell, I have a good friends who don't post personal things just their work, and it gets retweeted around the nation. Puts $$$ in their pocket.

Valid points. But why not learn a new skill? Learning to adapt, I think this is really the driving force. 95% don't know how to use it or get results so they shyt on it.

That the thing, social media can make you money very easily. VERY. As long as you are about something. Being an influencer is a guarantee to always have access to money. One of my boys wanted to be a comedian, so he was doing the videos on instagram and what not. Got up to 15K ppl, local companies hit him up. My chick is a fashion blogger. Only has like 1500 followers, but her work is A1. Local and out of state companies blow her up to send her products for reviews, become a brand ambassador if she likes it. Makes a cool $500 a month just off african head wraps.

This is true. But they put the work in. That's like saying im mad someone with less quality is mnroe recognized than me. Somewhere, that person made better moves.

You don't have to update your life at all. Post your work. I'm of the belief that everyone has a hobby. DO it, post it.

Another reach. You can enjoy life fully and still indulge in 20 minutes of social media a day. You likely spend more time here that adds 0 value to your life beyond its update on news.

My boy quit his job as an engineer to promote for ppl. Makes more money now. You hit up influencers and break bread to give an honest review and post. You find that bad chick or poppin dude out here, DM them, drop em the song/beat, whatever. Then just let em post and you drop 100 in their account. Simple.Organic. You should NEVER post or spam your music directly.

This is a real thing. You dont need social media for that tho. I never thought that shyt was cool. real social > social media. I'm just saying you can be at home and give an opinion or ask others opinions, document something small and impersonal.

Eh, another negative post. Starting to believe you just boring breh. And there is nothing wrong with that. Psychology tells me, hopping to the extreme of "I don't have to show off" says that you have nothing going on. You can be on social media and not show off breh. Just interact... how is show off the only thing that comes to mind.

Thank you, this is what is real. I feel like another root cause is social media with their face attach will poke holes in their pretend lives. When ppl know who you are in real life and see how you act online, if its not congruent, ppl gonna get at you. If you dont know who you are yourself, its naturally gonna come off fake.

I use social media for connecting too, not validation.

That is very true. My apologies if you think this is directed towards all.

Exactly hwo you should use it. Display your talents/strengths.

We don't care about your business bruh. Nobody tryna pick your life apart.

If you got somthing good going on, or a talent, share it.

I think I could go through your posts and find interested shyt you got going that could bring you at the least a small following. IF you truly have nothing to share, use it to share your homies shyt.If you can;t be great or be the best, be the most helpful.

They'll pay it forward.

Sounds like you're coping hard.

I see no point on being on it.

Exactly. My thing is everyone doesn't have to know what you're doing 24/7. Frankly, I've gotten bored with certain social media like Twitter/IG (I have SC but don't use it). Got rid of FB 4 yrs ago saw everybody from high/middle school, After that what's the point?

Advertising/Privacy it has become so normal to that most people don't even notice. Instagram has become unbearable with ads.

Google and Amazon already keep tap on my dirt and habits. I don't need Facebook and all these order companies following me around and advertising shyt to me.

I really have no desire to be on social media. I also have no desire for people to know what I'm doing or for them to think I'm "interesting".

Just never saw the need. But I'm old and didn't grow up with that being a part of the culture.
