This is more of a what if scare for me. As a precursor, you never saw white ppl in my neighborhood during the 80s. I’m about 7 years old walking home near dark. The path I’m on is adjacent to another dirt pathway that leads away from this old church with a history of KKK activity. My house is at the end of this path so I’ve heard old klan stories my whole life but we took this walk hundreds of times. As I’m getting to the point where the paths meet, I see these two white men coming from the churches direction :lupe: Just seeing white folks was shocking enough. At our current pace, I’m only slightly ahead of them as we’re getting to the meeting point. That’s when I hear, “ayo kid, come here” :damn:

I don’t know what kicked in but with zero hesitation I take the fukk off to the end of the pathway :damn: Felt like I was running for my life :damn: I’m crying and leaving a trail of piss. I reach my houses fence and scaled it like I conjured the spirit of Jesse Owens. Hit the door and my pops is looking at me drenched in a mixture of tears and piss like boy WTF is wrong with you. I shakily give my explanation, he quickly grabs his shotgun and heads to the path. Thought he saw 2 men jogging at the opposite end of the church path but it was too far away to really see much. They definitely didn’t continue their direction pass the house and we never saw them again.

Till this day I wonder if that moment of pure fear was an overreaction by a silly kid or a life saving moment that kept me off your morning milk carton.

Sounds so fukking stupid but I almost fell over a my childhood building as a kid. The apartment building was 6 stories. This was back in the day. My parents took the carpet on the roof to wash it. That in itself is weird and don’t know if that was a thing with other people. It just seems so weird looking back on it. We were running and sliding on the soapy carpet. I took a running start and slid fast across the carpet and got clipped and went over the side of the building. Somehow I grabbed and held on the ledge. That should have killed me. I remember looking down and seeing the trees and ground and being so scared that I wanted to let go. I never been so sc

Glad you're okay, breh. Something similar happened to the 5-year old child of musician Eric Clapton and he ended up falling to his death :(

A Mississippi Cotton Field
came home to the apartment that me and my then-girlfriend shared, found her laid out on the floor. No heartbeat, no breathing. Called 911 and did CPR. Ambulance showed up, she was still out, but she was breathing on her own. I'm standing there in shock and watching the ambulance as it's about to drive off, she jolts up with the oxygen mask on, was staring at me through the back window. She looked confused and terrified.

I had so many mixed up emotions. I went from terrified to numb when I was doing the CPR, was still trying to process it and was thinking about her daughter and calling her parents. When she jumped up like :damn: it scared the shyt outta me. :mjlol: I was scared for her. I was hurt she was going through it. And for the rest of that relationship, I was terrified I'd walk in and find her like that again.

She still turned her back on me when I needed her the most, cheated, dumped me and married somebody else though. :francis:

Two kids from my elementary school were kidnapped and killed. It scared the shyt out of everyone in the neighborhood as there was a nationwide manhunt for the killer. For about a month or so no one played outside, parents picked their kids up from school even if it was just a few houses away, etc. I remember hauling ass to get home after school every day when it happened because I didn't want to be next. They found the guy but it still shook everyone up for a bit after.

You had a actual NDE? Did you see the white lights or anything?

White lights, OBE, could see my body from afar, I looked sick and broken. I almost died in the waiting room before being rushed to surgery, I could hear my family and my doctors kinda tripping out. The craziest shyt was when there weren't so many people around I woud just kinda look down at my body and size up my situation. Kinda like the way you'd look at a car wreck, what's the dammage? Can I still drive this home?

I was going through a really tough period in my life, didn't even know if I wanted to live before all that happened but in that moment I was given a choice. Body was a bit scarred up but still working so I stuck around. Doctor told me when he took my staples out that it was the worst case of he had seen in his career and that he thought he was going to lose me.

My 1st deployment to Iraq (my 1st almost death experience, I realized I literally had no fear of death and was laughing about it)

Later
I was in Basrah and was with a very small US Army squad that was attached to coalition forces led by the British

This British navy dude I worked with was captured and beheaded
They put that shyt on the internet
Dude was out with just 2 other Brits in a gawt damm Land Rover
The other 2 was killed

(This was before that American contractor was beheaded and it was on the net and all in the news)

That shyt fukked me up cause then i realized
Even with not fearing death
I had to fear torture

Then with the amount of lil kids they had strapped up with c4
Pretending to hand out flowers then setting off the c4
We had to fear getting blown up and possibly not dying and having ya legs blown off or some shyt

And the command put out we had to take out any civilian that got close to convoys when they didn't move when ordered cause it could be a set up to bottle neck the convoy with a bombing

So then we had to have our mind ready to pop lil kids as potential threats

All my deployments i never worried about dying
But torture, losing limbs, buring to death in a mrap or shot down bird had me shook
When you say they went out, they went out partying? In Iraq!? And they wasn’t strapped!!?

Another one off the hip:

When I was working as a security guard, I experience so much fukkery, it made me stone cold. One night, I was told to come help lift a dead boy so it can go to the morgue. I seen death before (my grandmother and my wife's brother's funeral), but never on the level of a complete stranger. I was all like :lupe: "is it gruesome?"

One of the dudes that work there was like "nah, she just look like she's sleep"

So I go in there with my co worker, two nurses, some dude, and a doctor. The doctor opens the bag and it was a old white lady. She had this slight open stare and somewhat pale. I was like :whew: because I was expecting some SAW shyt. So we picked up the body which was heavy as all hell (brehs...a dead body has more weight than a fat person. This lady looked like she was 90 pounds soaked and wet weighing 400 pounds). One of the dudes was like "see it wasn't so bad:mjgrin:"

I nodded and went back to my station. Within seconds I felt sick to my stomach and threw up because this was my first time actually dealing with the dead on a nonchalant matter.

I had to pick up another body that was heavy as all hell. Almost dropped her too (thankfully I didn't because you can't drop a dead body...especially when its being prepped for a funeral :francis:)

I could not deal with that damn job after a month. After almost catching hands from this crazy dude that claimed he was Jesus Christ from a different planet. I was good :hubie:

Almost getting murdered by a crazy man wielding an assault weapon. Luckily he spared me and my friends. I don't want to provide any further details.

Almost becoming a missing person and dying alone in the middle of a National State Park. Lets just say I made a stupid decision and found myself in a secluded area in the middle of a snowstorm in one of America's largest state parks. Many people go missing there too.

Seeing a women almost get kidnapped in broad daylight before my eyes.

1. Damn thats terrifying

2. Yeah mfs be going missing in them state parks all the time glad ur still here with us

3. A woman*

I'm blessed to be here, and extremely thankful to my Creator. I know its for a reason, and I try to not take things for granted or get upset easy

  • 4 different severe car accidents where I probably should've died or someone else involved. Three I reacted in a calm manner(adrenaline and probably military training), checking on the others inside immediately after
  • One night on the backroads on the outskirts of suburban Memphis while driving Lyft, almost hit a deer around 3 am. I've never heard myself scream like that before. :beli:
  • I witnessed a car accident, I actually may post the clip. But I was out filming a documentary on a rapper with a crew in Memphis and saw bodies flying everywhere. I took off and you can see me running by the camera to the scene. Arrived in the middle of the street and it's literally how they try to visualize it in the movies. For a moment, there was just muffled sound. Just screams, bodies either limp or in agony crawling, glass and panic. It took me like 10 seconds(felt like forever) before I started to check on people
  • Had a gun pulled on me, by a nikka known to kill in ATL over a girl I was messing with. I was picking her up from the train station, and her, ole boy and her brother(play) were arguing. I was getting impatient, so I opened my car door(stupid looking back ) and told her to hop in. nikka ran up on with it, and she jumped in between.
  • First Day I was processed into a foreign prison for drug trafficking. 2 Years and 5 months(saw some shyt in there smh). Changed my life a-lot
  • Almost drowned when I was 11, stepdad had to save me
  • When I worked in Command Post and North Korea use to fire missiles constantly. I don't think people realize how close they are, though most were duds.
  • I would hear about all different types of incidents while in the command post. We're all ignorant to how many international incidents the military stop.
  • Walking through San Francisco after 2 am. Humans who have lost themselves and seem like literally zombies due to the drugs
  • Was riding Bart after work one late night in San Fran and dozed off. Woke up overhearing some Youngbloods talking in code about robbing me. slowly got up and walked down several different cars. I didn't have my strap and wasn't trying to deal
  • Out here in the Bay ended up at this trap house with a nikka I would kick it with time to time. I didn't know the full story until I got there but his cousin's homeboy had tried to rob one of his spots. He found out it was him and went and he and some patna's lit ole boy up. He went to confront his cousin to see if he knew and I was the second. nikka I was in a suit, strap hanging out my pocket and they could tell I definitely wasn't from there. Full blown argument brehs. Everybody was strapped. One nikka brought an AK out the back and just sat it down. I played it cool, talking about it, but I was shook. I thank God I got out of that situation :wow:

There are some things I probably suppressed from childhood, high school, jail, military, etc. I think we just learn to live with them. I stay cognizant of who I am and now certain goals I'm trying to reach. I will have wife, beautiful family, a library, a garden and a big backyard with a pool soon enough I just need relaxation. Had enough drama.

My maternal grandad died in a car accident, and though I believe(hell I know) that's not the way I'm going, its scary knowing how many car accidents I've been in. I think something was trying to take me out or send me a warning.

But then stop at a brothel on the border
And drink and buy p*ssy

The British the sloppiest military ever and treated that shyt like it was no danger
