Damn. Were you in the streets? Also did you see or feel anything weird or wrong before these events happened to you?

Born into that environment/lifestyle, been through and seen A LOT of shyt from different angles.

And yeah for a lot of those there were signs and intuition telling me not to go here or there, I eventually started listening.

Almost got hit by a car while riding my bike fast crossing the street I remember the lady she look like Sade with big glasses and driving a red 5.0 I was so scared I was laughing.

The other time I was at the river and got caught in a whirlpool I was like 14 and I couldn’t get out lucky some people were there to help me out cuz I would have been done. That feeling under water looking up at the sky/light :wow:

I’ve had guns pulled on me but I never was really scared though

A couple months ago I was using a torch connected to an oxygen tank and the hose must have got clogged cause it disconnected and caught fire. Mind you I'm about 15 feet away from an industrial size furnace with gas lines all around me. Me n my crew leader ran the wrong way , Luckily he was thinking and ran back and turned off the tank. Still don't know why we ran further into the building instead of outside :laff:

Any advice on how to keep your head on a swivel or general situation awareness?

As I was driving back home from an overnight shift on winding backroads, a couple, dressed like a bride and groom, were playing in the road. They were holding hands and spinning around like this:

I swerved and avoided them. I think they were trying to get killed, it was the perfect place to do it because you wouldn't see them until you made the turn but I take driving very seriously, enough to fortunately avoid that kind of nonsense. I don't have any trauma about it, but I sort of keep the story to myself because it sounds crazy. I can still vividly picture them in the headlights, hard to even imagine it was real as that was as close to killing someone as I have ever came.

1. I had a situation like this driving home after work at around 11:00pm on Arden Rd in Sac in my 97 civic doin like 60-70 and some nikka on a bike was crossing in the middle of the street. I swerved at the last second and I missed him and almost lost control of the car. I was shook after cuz i thought I killed the man but I spun back and didn’t see a dead body in the street so i was relieved. Still shook me up :mjcry:

2. I was 18 in San Francisco with my boy at the Market Street Cinema and had got some premium puss from some bad joints in there. Walked out around 1am and there was this bad bytch that had jumped in the passenger seat of an all black tinted out range rover parked out front. My silly thirsty ass runs up and knocks on the window tryna see thru the tints.

The driver door opens and some big meech lookin pimp slickback nikka gets out holdin a mini mac-10 with duck tape wrapped around the handle and clip and said “nikka get the fukk away from my truck”

I was like “my bad man, my bad” and walked off hopin this nikka didnt merk me in my back. shyt was funny on the drive home back to Sac but my heart rate was wild in the moment :dead:

What have you done to heal from the trauma or are you still healing from it?

The I in Team
Sounds so fukking stupid but I almost fell over a my childhood building as a kid. The apartment building was 6 stories. This was back in the day. My parents took the carpet on the roof to wash it. That in itself is weird and don’t know if that was a thing with other people. It just seems so weird looking back on it. We were running and sliding on the soapy carpet. I took a running start and slid fast across the carpet and got clipped and went over the side of the building. Somehow I grabbed and held on the ledge. That should have killed me. I remember looking down and seeing the trees and ground and being so scared that I wanted to let go. I never been so scared nor felt the depths of that fear since. It consumes you. There was screaming and people ran to the ledge and pulled me up. I am forever traumatized by the incident and have severe acrophobia. Just being up somewhere high and my legs begin to tremble and I literally get this tingly fear feeling in my nuts.

Almost getting murdered by a crazy man wielding an assault weapon. Luckily he spared me and my friends. I don't want to provide any further details.

Almost becoming a missing person and dying alone in the middle of a National State Park. Lets just say I made a stupid decision and found myself in a secluded area in the middle of a snowstorm in one of America's largest state parks. Many people go missing there too.

Seeing a women almost get kidnapped in broad daylight before my eyes.

Ask away...there's certain details on some I'll never talk about. There's some I've spoken in more detail on here. My early 20s, I wasn't wild, but I just hung around a wild crowd.

Did you get a hunch or signs before these things happened? Did you just ignore these signs or were broadsided? Any general situational awareness advice you can give up during these tough times
