Damn bruh is bmore worse than Detroit? I never been to bmore but I went to Detroit and I’m cool if I never return there

Baltimore isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Let me rephrase that: those neighborhoods don't encompass the whole city. There are plenty of areas of the city that are safe and vibrant.

Yea, I drove across the country and we had to overnight in North Platte, Nebraska - literally the only black people at Applebees and at our hotel (and that we saw for our entire time there), shyt like that is scary.
That’s crazy I think in areas like that of course some of them may never really met a black person so everything they think about us come from tv and music. Not good

I always wondered for the American gringos that deal with women overseas do they speak Englsh or Portuguese? Is the language barrier a big issue?

i'm from the UK.

I studied portuguese myself on-and-off for a couple of years, so could get around. Just about.

I never really mastered it though and after a lot of time have forgotten a lot.

Spanish is easier for me because you get a lot more casual exposure to it, online, in the US and also in europe. And I find spanish easier to follow and pick up, for some reason.

Baltimore. It was just as bad, if not worse than what was shown on The Wire. There were little kids all over the street, with no adults in sight. They didn’t even have front doors. Just wood boards, like in that Juvenile video

Used to ride around Baltimore for fun, all hours of the night and morning.

Nobody fukked with us.

I wanna go to Salvador. It's that bad?

don't go to the favellas. they are not touristy areas. if you do dress to fit in and don't talk too much. don't walk too fast or too stiffly. relax as you move and look like you know what you are doing and where you are going.

the biggest difference i found between the tourists and the locals is how they walk.

stay down by the beaches. you have more control/police in those touristy areas.

nothing happened to me so it is not like a war zone. the problem is that things can happen and you hear of things happening.

in my time in brazil i met at least two separate gringos who got jacked by armed thugs while walking home after a nights clubbing.

both were yt.

in brazil and more in the favellas. you meet some people that you can tell are lawless. they have that look and behaviour. there are plenty of weapons in those areas and there aren't a lot of police around.
