You don't give a guy a move like Superman Punch and not make him a top guy.

The Rock was pegged for the main event from the very first day of training
Nah...when Bret and Shawn went down and away, with competition being so high, they actually had to go through with it. They had fukked over Vader and multiple others. Luger was pegged to main event with Vince's all time favorite look but they pushed him aside for Bret in the end.

The Rock was NEVER meant or supposed to gotten to Steve Austin's level. But fan demand and obvious made them keep going ahead with it. And with things being what they were...you fukk around with a talent back then? They can just go to WCW and say "fukk that $hit".

Vince is a stubborn old man obsessed with the unbeatable babyface overcoming all odds since the old Hogan days. Aren't there stories out there that it was mostly JR and other folks backstage who had to convince Vince to drop Rocky Maivia and have The Rock turn heel? Vince probably would've run that shyt completely into the ground too out of sheer stubbornness.

I Think there's lots of stories about ppl having to convince Vince of certain things, which then turned out to be super successful. Vince admits that he's had alot of help in interviews.

But his ego prob still gets in the way

I wouldn't mind seeing Roman go CRAZY babyface to where he's super-corny like 80's Hogan and then the crowd is FORCD to boo him.

That would be entertaining.

This is what CM Punk meant by yes men

No one is there to speak up and challenge Vince

Vince will never do it but he needs a very long vacation to recharge his batteries

Automatic assumptions still reign supreme, eh? There is no automatically liking someone that the McMahon is telling you is the best in the game:laugh:

For what? So the crowd can start liking him? :heh: We all know how this works. They might as well just keep doing what they were doing. Unless if they turn Rollins face which won't happen anytime soon.

This is definitely part of it. There's no point in turn Cena heel for the same reason. The group that don't like them will like them, and then you're risking the kids who get their parents to buy all the merch to maybe not want that new Cena or Roman shirt. Another reason is: Vince doesn't fukking want to. He's the content provider, and he gets to do what he wants.

A lot of reaching...if they aren't gonna like Cena while he's pandering and helping sick kids fight cancer, they damn sure aren't gonna SUDDENLY start cheering for him over Ambrose/Taker/Lesnar because he's heel:laugh:

New Day got cheered as heels because they were good
Sasha got cheered as heel because she proved she was the best
Bryan got cheered as heel because he was carrying the show, was proven on international waters for years, and was held down for lesser talent at the biggest show of the year

They've been trying to sell Cena as better than Hogan and Austin...fans will never cheer for that wholesale. Not the male fanbase.

I know one thing...hes not too like right now. To save credibility and instead of pandering, he needs to turn heel...like everyone else in history who got booed out as faces pre Cena obsession.

New York is a babyface territory, brother.

Sammartino, Graham, Backlund, Hogan, Bret, Austin, Rock, Cena. They always build their company around the babyface and it's always whoever they decide on, regardless of what anyone else thinks.

Solid point and you are correct but why not turn him heel for a little run now to build him as a face later
