Just in particular situations. That MOS (68W) is very broad. It used to be separate medical MOS’s but a lot of them were combined into one. Since combat medic is no longer it’s own separate MOS, a lot of women also chose it. You end up as a “do anything” medical assistant on steroids that is certified as an EMT, with a scope of practice that bigger than most nurses’. You might work in a specialty clinic, hospital, or end up working an ambulance/air ambulance, or a being a straight up combat line medic.
