A lot of y'all are scared of white folks and hood people and threads like this are telling. I'm not afraid or nervous about going anywhere because I will not hesitate to defend myself. That's the most perfect discription for Belle Glade I've ever heard.
Worst in terms of poverty/insecurity/violence, or just pure desolation and misery? Driving through Skid Row in downtown LA easily rivals third world country, poverty, and the fact that it's just a few minutes from some of the most exclusive communities in the world makes it all the more horrific......Tijuana has some wrenching poverty as well, and throughout Mexico, but they aren't all miserable places. I'd rather stroll through Sanchez Tadoaba TJ, then some places in Southern Cali, it's not a matter of safety. If anyone has ever been to Bakersfield, or Barstow, inland empire communities outside of LA, those are some of the bleakest, grimmest, culturally dead places I have seen.

I've traveled a lot but two places I would never visit: the deep south in America and Eastern Europe 
Most racism I ever felt was on a ski trip to Austria tho. We stayed in a small Austrian village somewhere in the Alps. The locals seemed very hostile. Even in stores, when you were at the cash register they'd just take your money without even acknowledging you on some
