He has some pretty cool moves.

I just hate how they push him as an underdog. How am I supposed to take a 6 ft 3 265 lb Samoan guy seriously as an underdog in a fight?

He was a underdog against Lesnar. But they got him beasting on the Wyatts, League of Nations, and nobody even knows the last time he lost a match at this point. LOL. shyt is just out of hand.

He's been written into a corner multiple times which isn't his fault.

If they're going to put him in the Cena role (as the face of the company/ meta heel) they need to do something about his promos. Right now he's what a 70 year old thinks is a "badass champ". There are way more modern tropes that they could apply to him.

He's improved in the ring since he was the hot tag for The Shield though, so there's that. :yeshrug:

He needs a new look and theme, IMO. It just feels like he has separation anxiety since Seth turned on them and he hasn't been able to move on. And it takes away from the impact when they finally put The Shield back together.

Seeing how both Ambrose & Rollins have evolve there character Roman really hasn't still rocking the Shelid gear & music. They tried to book him as Cena/Hogan underdog/overcome the odds in 2016 that shyt just doesn't fly. He is too damm big & strong to be playing an underdog role.

Ambrose & Rollins doing alot of the ring work cover for how limited he is in the ring. When he was a hot tag clean up mode he was over. One minute they want us to feel sorry for dude next he is squashing a whole crew of dudes. Booking has not help him at all but everyone said oo he has the look you need to have more then a look to last and show far he is average both in the ring and on the mic. Your top guys has to be great at one of those thing.

i don't see star in him i see a guy who could be a solid rotation player :manny:

Is he that big though? I mean he's not Sami Zayn small but he's not exactly huge, just decent size; comms acting like he's Andre or something. And strong? He barely struggles to life Sheamus/Del Rio; he's strong but compared to half the roster he's nothing special.

I honestly don't get how you guys can see him wrestle the matches he does at PPV and still facilitate this lie that he isn't talented in the ring. Everything else I agree with: pushed too soon, no discernible character, lacks mic skills, stale but to say he isn't good in the ring is just false :yeshrug:

He's not bad like some say, but he's not great either. He's just okay, his matches are usually 3-4 stars, rarely dipping above or below; and for the face of the company that's not the best resume to have. He's solid in the ring, but would you put him top 10/15 on the current roster? No chance. Let someone like Apollo Crews go 20+ minutes every PPV and see how they do

Straight up and down, breh is just bland. No real standout qualities other than his looks.

Face Roman Reigns is pretty corny and forced. I see potential as a heel, especially seeing that hes already hated.

For those bringing up the super push, I think TSC is passed that already. That has nothing to do with this thread.

:dead: at people saying his move set. Doesn't he only have like 5 moves like someone we know? :heh:

@Big Butts , I don't think dude has ever had a 4 star singles match. If people wanna bring up Mania 31, I gotta disagree. That was like a 3 1/2 to, maybe, 3 3/4 stars. It was basically a beat down where Brock dominated 85% to 90% of the match. :stopitslime:

That match with Brock was (imo) brilliant watching it live. I had no idea what the hell was gonna happen, was Brock gonna retain cos he re-signed? Was Reigns gonna win despite 80000 booing? Was Rollins gonna cash in? No idea. Then Brock dominated all match and it looked certain he'd win, then he got busted open and Reigns came back and it looked like Roman was gonna win; then Rollins cashed in and it still looked like all 3 could win; then Rollins won. Literally stood up and glued to the screen during the final 8-10 minutes of that match, so invested in what was gonna happen.

Doesn't hold up on repeat viewings though, re-watched it and it was average at best; suplexes for 10 minutes, superman punches/spears for 5 minutes, finisher spamfest for 2 minutes, Rollins wins. Not a bad match, but like you said 3 stars at best. :francis:

Real shyt. Roman is good in the ring, and significantly better now than Cena was in the ring from 2003-2005 and already progressing faster than Cena did. That's the bar you judge him by, and what he lacks in Cena's mic skills, he makes up for in the ring. Better wrestling and less corny promos, I'll take that than another decade of Cena or a Cena-like character again.
