What's to say that between 5-10 years from now the internet won't just be AI bots making content and other bots commenting on that content?

The internet will soon become a social parasite. It should've never existed. :yeshrug:

Simple. People will find something else to do.
No.

they will just get caught up the internet matrix where it will be impossible to make a difference between reality and digital illusions. Humans and robots.

The internet will go back to early 90s to early 00s. People will retreat to niche chat rooms and message boards.
They won't be no retreat, except for some super geek. AI and bots will invade the internet and make themselves indistinguishable from humans.

With the videos being generated by these programs getting better, with the writing of these programs getting better what is to say that someone won't just basically create virtual youtubers with AI generated scripts and then bots to comment on that content? or forums that are just entirely made up of bots?
We already been here friend

We already live in an AI generated world. Flesh, biology, emotions, it’s all generated by a higher being on a different plane of existence. Art is imitating life :manny:

Everytime tech advances people use that current tech understanding to try and define life. But all you are saying is what makes sense to u at our current level of sophistication. Life can't always just be defined by what we can comprehend. That is an obvious limitations. When we get beyond this level of sophistication so will your theory continue to evolve to match the current limits of understanding. Never going beyond. Your theory mixes dimensions with simulations like they are one.

Humans have been engaging in this mental masturbation since we had consciousness. Always trying to define life based on our limited comprehension at whatever particular stage we are in. It's obtuse.

Already happens. Twitter bots shyt post and Twitter bots like and reply and boost fake tweets to into the algorithm which eventually makes it to real people.

Fake news articles generated by ai, with ai engaging in debate and discussion, floating to the top eventually seen by a real person who doesn't know the difference.

That's why it's funny to watch people go back and forth with people on news sites because a good 60% are just engagement bots.

YouTube is plagued by ai accounts that leave generic comments and shyt on videos. Insta is the same. FB is the same.

If the day came where I thought that half of y'all were actually AI bots, I would stop looking at this website.

One choice is to stop using message boards altogether. Maybe party lines will make a comeback.

But some industrious human will create a site that is guaranteed to be bot free. Make people sign up for the website in person at a physical office of some sort.

Use your imagination. There is a way to create a bot free space and anyone smarter than an eighth grader will seek out such.

I clicked on this IG post the other day and the comments were all bots.

Some reddit posts now are full of bot comments, they say the same thing but in different ways and the comments are usually 1 sentence in length.

The only solution is for people to log off and live offline again.

Expect mass movements popping up about leaving the online world behind in the 2030s.

I'd enjoy going back to the 2000s. That was the sweet spot of the internet.

Soon, it will be impossible to know. that's the point. they won't tell you that bots reached 50% of the audience. Now you can tellebecause those bots are not that developed. But in 10 years, they will be no different than your average poster.

You will even have this discussion with a bot :russ:

Most people won't notice the difference and the next generation will just get used to it. Cats are already being entertained by fake influencers.

Only a tiny determined minority will seek for authenticity and leave the mainstream internet.

I was expecting you to tell me you were a bot.

The actual thought of being fooled by an AI bot is unsettling.

AI been around...... we're just now being introduced to it just like all things technology related.

I bet AI wrote "Pulp Fiction" for example.
Ain't no human mind come up with that. :dead:

Weird simulation we live in.
