The whole premise of the OP is wrong because your body burns like 1700 calories per day just by being alive. It isn't like you have to exercise off every calorie you eat.

writing thinkpieces about the munchies instead of looking up the science behind metabolism and why we would die if the body's fuel consumption was higher (also you'd get fired for making your robot the same way
) also there's a basis in the divine - higher powers are making sure you have discipline to choose better foods, exercise every day, and save enough for everyone
...you're sounding less as aprogrammer and more like a rube asking why their computer is so slow after hoarding files
300 calories from nothing more than a handful of nuts,
but a handful is far less than 300 calories and you forgot to factor in the nutrients and vitamins. You know how you can't delete files on a corrupt hard drive? That’s fat. It’s undeletable bloatware
do you mean fat or FAT
also this analogy makes no sense cuz u can lose bodyfat This isn't a temple, it’s a beta-test that went wrong, and the Developer ghosted us a million years ago.

Not only this... we didn't use to eat all the time. Our bodies are built for endurance. We fail at almost every other physical attribute compared to most animals, except endurance. We aren't living the lives we were intended to live. the design is perfect for the original human.
Your ancestors were hunting fcking sabertooths and mammoths , while you do your modern hunting in the grocery aisle. If you descend from a coastal people, your ancestors were even hunting whales . If you did what your ancestors did every day of your life you would never have a calorie overage.
And because of how uncertain this type of hunting was, you had to retain energy for as long as possible. Hence fat.
There is nothing wrong with the system. The issue is your lifestyle. And humanity live that way for 300,000 years. It was only until recently that we had calorie issues.
