:dahell:

Read the first sentence breh.

He says anyone produces behind that line (which is false).

He then shows two gifs saying anyone can run through those wholes (even though the second gif was him making a great cutback).

Not know what a backhanded compliment is brehs

Of course there are exceptions to every rule but comparing a QB to a DB is a bit disingenious. Any follower of football understands that you must have elite talent at that position to win championships. Low impact RBs? No one even bothers drafting RBs in the first round like that anymore. A team will take an elite CB over a elite RB any day. AP and chris johnson are the only first round RBs who amounted to anything. I would add zeke and gurley but the verdict is still out so im not sure how youre making that comparisonm Aside from Richard Sherman and josh noman, the top cover guys have been 1st round picks. Revis, joe haden, patrick peterson, aqib Talib, marcus peters, Jason verrett. Maybe I'm missing the point you're making but I'm not sure how u consider 1st round DBs low impact. Of course there have been busts. Happens at every position but every one of those guys I listed is an integral part of what their team does and forces offenses to scheme away from them and adding to my first post guys like polamalu, bob sanders, Charles Woodson and Ed reed were DPOYs and were driving forces behind their teams winning championships.

I started not to respond, but thing is..

Not taking RB's is due to this finesse style NFL now and GMs trying to say anybody can basically do the job at RB which is total bullshyt.. Dallas is sticking to a formula thats punishing teams. Its just starting. Teams will try to emulate it too.

I would take a RB over a DB anyday.. dont feel like elaborating anymore than that..

Thats your opinion but having several undrafted RBs near the top of the rushing list for the last 5 season suggests otherwise. (Arian foster, jay ajayi, justin forsett, chris ivory, alfred morris) Then u add the others who have been just as effective Isaiah Crowell, cj anderson, lagarette blount, latavius murray, 6th round pick, etc. Other likes lamar miller and devonta freeman are 4th and 5th rounders. Not really sure how you are making that point. It is much easier to find value at RB later on draft day than DB which again makes me question how unless you're talking about AP u could possibly take a RB over a DB. There is one DB who went undrafted who can be considered a top player at their position. That's chris harris jr. Cant say the same for RB. Dallas also has one of the best o-lines in recent nfl memory. Their o line is what is punishing teams not their RBs. Demarco, McFadden and zeke are all 1K rushers behind that line.

All valid points. Its easy as hell to find a decent RB in the draft, it mainly boils down to fit. Zeke was a good fit for the boys, probably could have traded down some spots to grab him, but 4 was around his range

Facts. Definitely won't argue with the Boys scooping up zeke. He was the best player available on their board and has been a perfect fit.

its one thing to be serviceable and its another thing to be a key concern back that has to be game planned for. If you deem a RB a superstar in college and a must have game changer, you take him before any cornball ass cornerback. My opinion and you cant change it dawg

GM's have spread that dumb ass plague to the league talking bout backs dont have real value. And if you got a hella line, you better draft a back over any corner.

My point was Jalen wouldnt have been a factor at all for this Dallas team compared to Zeke. NONE. its not debatable.

What kills me most is, this league was built off superstar RB's and now they dont matter.

y'all just buy into any bullshyt. John Elway was not a winner until he got that superstar back. The blueprint is there, but y'all trying to tell me a fuhking DB is more important.. lmao

I cant man

Ain't trying change your mind bro. Just like talking football.
Ok two issues. One there have been way more 'game changing' rb busts than dbs. Reggie bush, trent richardson, mark ingram, darren mcfadden etc were phenomenal coming out of college. They have all underwhelmed. issue number 2 is you can't name an elite RB in the last ten years aside from maybe marshawn that carried their team to the championship. I can name 3 DBs that did. (Woodson, sanders, reed) you could also make the argument that seattles defense and back 4 were more important than their running game in getting them to the promise land. I agree with your point about jalen vs zeke. That however may be a long term equation as well. An elite DB has a much longer shelf life and plays at elite levels longer than a RB.

Bro name a team that has won the super bowl or even been playing in january lately without an elite QB. U need dbs and to defend against the guys u will be definitely be seeing in January. Cam, rodgers, brady, brees, palmer, russ, luck etc.

Im not arguing busts. Busts are centered around teams and how they are built for the most part. Running game is a mind frame of the team. Its why Dallas went back to the formula from the 90's. Line + physical runner

of course a DB has better shelf time. at the end of the day, they only get targeted 5 to12 times a game at most. They dont really factor in the game for the most part. How many game breaking receivers they gonna face a year? 5? if that...

Ask all them you named if they wished they had a dynamic run game? Outside of Brady, who you could probably substitute his current team with the Boston College squad and get 10 wins in the NFL, all of them needed a run game. Look at Rodgers now, Brees, Russ.... Palmer is just Palmer. you should have left him off.

All facts breh.

Runningbacks impact the game far more than a corner.

Do our Boys win in 95 with Deion but no Emmitt? Nope

Our best season in a decade was with an elite RB, but trash (at the time) corners.

Its a copy-cat league and teams are seeing what we are doing and going to try and emulate our philosophy (power running game).

DB's are definetly more important in today's league. Recent SB winners:

The last 5 SB winners have all had elite secondarys, but guys like Ronnie Hillman, Blount, Ahmad Bradshaw, Ray Rice, etc..were the rb's. Only exception was marshawn. Db's are more important than rb's in todays league
