That’s what I’m saying. Who the hell can afford a car as a young person? Between getting fly, eating and going out, a car is the last thing you want weighing your pockets down as a young person. Things different now. Between that note, insurance, gas, maintenance, im good with Uber as a young person.

Bra I hear you and all that but these kids ain’t that. Trust I had my share and learned a lot about fixing cars but these kids ain’t got time for calling triple a or being an ole my car is in the shop ass nikka. If your parents were broke like mine were then yeah but those were the old days. We broke that curse.

They lost.

My fiancé’s cousin is a senior in high school, does not have has license and has no desire to learn how to drive at all.

Buddy still sits in the back seat while his mom drives.

It's less people driving these days with uber, delivery service, and remote jobs. I don't necessarily think anything is wrong with it as we need less people driving.

True the market is completely different...So many other factors at play now a days....
The days of buying a decent beater/fixer uper for a reasonable price and maintaining it for cheap are far over...

I remember buying a 96 camry for $400 in 09 off some migo breh i worked with, took it to my homies pops up the street he gave it a quick check up and gave me the green light, I just needed to swap out the tires and he gave the link to his guy who did the job for $140...That bxtch lasted me 3-4 years didn't even have insurance on it the first year or so lolll...

But yeah I feel what you sayin OP...If he got a seed he at least need to get his license and then plan towards a car he could share with his girl for the convenience...

Yep. When I was in high school in the early 00s, cats were buying $500 to $1200 beaters and driving them til the wheels fall out of them.

But the freedom of driving anywhere you want and staying as late as you want without relying on unreliable taxis or people is GOAT :banderas:
