Lots of water
Raw garlic (1 clove)
Apple cider vinegar(1tsp)
Green tea
Zinc tablets
Thai green curry and rice (its an expectorant and delicious)
Change bedsheets, spray everything in Lysol, try not to take decongestants because they make mucus worse.
Edit: Breakfast-Greek yogurt with as few sugars as possible. Chew and try to stomach a clove of garlic, wash it down with pineapple juice. Take a Mucinex. And a tsp of apple cider vinegar. Drink PLENTY of water and make sure u floss and brush ur teeth. Trapped food in ur teeth can make u sick. Sleep for 4 uninterrupted hours.
Lunch- Chicken noodle soup, green tea, zinc tablets, if u can stomach the raw garlic do it. Pineapple juice, lots of water. Sleep 4-6 hrs.
Dinner-Thai Green Curry and rice. Miso soup. Green tea, water, garlic, pineapple juice.
At night rub chest and temples with Vicks plus essential peppermint oil. If u don't have a humidifier, wet some towels and hang them on the doors to put moisture in your home. Try to spit up as much red, green, brown gunk as possible.
Follow this regimen for 1-2 days and by Day 3 you'll feel great. Sometimes I feel better after just one day!
I only get sick twice a year in the Fall and Spring due to post-nasal drip from allergies. But i don't even go to the doctor anymore.
