When I was broke I’d just get a store brand box if pasta for $1 and a jar of sauce for like $2.50. I could make 3 or 4 meals out of that.
When I was really broke, I’d just eat a plate of rice with some hot sauce and some orange chicken sauce and pretend that I had some chicken on it.
Oh, and grilled cheese sandwiches. Get that store brand bread and some cheese from the deli...

Scrambled Egg and rice
add some fried spam to that bytch
Put some angus beef on the George Forman grill, cut it up and add it in spaghetti noodles or rice
cook up some frozen chicken pieces, splash some jerk sauce on it or taco seasoning and use it for tacos
Green peas on top of white rice
Boil some grits, grab 2 handfuls of shredded cheese and put it in after
Hot dogs (nikkas who boil hot dogs eat glue. Fry that shyt in some butter)
Brown some ground beef, and put it in some ramen & mix in the seasoning packets

Back in the day it was hamburger helper, now it’s ramen or a hot dog from Quik Trip. I ain’t got no problem with the gas station food

Fish cakes (tuna or sardines)/fish stir fry if you don't have an egg
Drain and mash a tin/pouch of that, add two tbsps or so of flour or pancake mix, add any leftover onion/garlic/corn and season with: blk pepper, sea salt, oregano, parmesan cheese and hot sauce.
Stir in a small egg and form into a huge patty or 3-6 smaller ones,
Fry in butter or oil for 4 mins per side on 6.
If you don't have spices in your cabinet

Was a meal I ate when I was broke in college, and it’s a reg lunch now because it’s cheap, healthy, easy, can cook a variety of ways and still delicious. Eggs. Add whatever to it. All sorts of veggies, fry Em, scramble Em, add some sausage or beef, peppers, salsa etc
I get that ground tennessee pride sausage(hot), make a couple patties, fry them, soon as they are done, i take them out and fry an egg in the same pan, toast 2 slices of bread and i got me a sandwich.
