You should watch that sports science video on Wiggins, it details and shows how he has freakishly elite body control
I've seen it. His body control is probably the most average part of his athleticism. Granted, I'm comparing him to guys like Kobe and Jordan. Probably not fair. High standards. :heh:

And on the flipside, George isn't nearly as quick as him.

Wiggins doesn't have patience, he's 19 breh, you're comparing him to a 24 year old seasoned NBA vet. Coming out of college PG had an even worse handle than Wiggins and it's something he's still improving.

You don't necessarily need to be all that smooth when you have elite quickness, at his size there isn't a prospect in recent memory as quick as him. Coming off screens and picks you have to figure that he'll learn how to use it.

He's also a markedly better defender than Paul George was.

I also think the idea of "what do you think about this highly edited and condensed workout video?" is pathetic. But that's me. :manny:

Nah breh he's in the right class. Canadians usually reclassify a year down when they come over to the states for basketball.

i thought he moved up for the prep school?

Wiggins moved to his right class. Canadian prospects usually move down a grade. They come over..get their academics in line and see how they do in sports. If they feel like they're ready they usually reclassify up to their right grade. If not they stay a grade behind.

Still dont think is guy is more athletic than Lebron during those Cavs days. He may have the higher Vert. But Bron back then was dunking anything when he went to rim

Wiggins being under the tutelage of Kobe would do wonders for him but too bad the lakers didn't get the number 1 pick. :snoop:

I'll say it again, if he ever develops a 1-2 dribble pull up, he'll be a force. His first step is elite, his jumper doesn't look nearly as broken as Bron's at the same age, and he has the length and lateral quickness to be a great defender.

There's no reason he can't be a top swingman in 4-5 years.

Physically, the only thing I question is his body control. That's what really makes Kobe special IMO. He might not need it though, T-Mac wasn't necessarily the best there. But like Tracy, dude has range. You can't teach that.

He already has one. Wiggins literally had 3 go to moves in Kansas. Drive then a spin move, dribble pull up from mid and pulling up from NBA range 3. His real problems are his ball handling and finishing at the rim, and as he continues to improve those aspects of his game he'll become much more complete. His jumper was great in college, you could depend on him to hit 2 or 3 threes a game, but he was overall lackluster at the rim and creating his own shot.

Defensively is where he'll eat in his first year, he has a very unique body where even though he plays SG at average SF height, he has the longevity and explosiveness of a PF. He can become a defensive stopper at the NBA level, and it wouldn't be surprising if he racks up plenty of steals and blocks because of that longevity. Two-way players who are versatile are the future of this league, we saw it with Kawhi, PG24 and LeBron, so I think Wiggins will continue that trend. That said, his offense will take quite a few years to get where it needs to be, he won't be ROTY or anything.
