Seeing my brother get sent to prison at 15
6 years old my mom dated some dude who wasn't right. One day she locked him out and we had to call the cops - dude was banging on all the windows and shyt and we're inside scared AF that he might have a gun.
11 years old. Old lady lost her job and one day they came and repossessed half our furniture. 6 months later we were nearly homeless, but my uncle held us down. I knew money was tight so I used to pretend I wasn't hungry. My bro didn't give a fukk, he just used to eat everything. fukked up thing is I'm younger. Things did a complete 180 just a few months later.
Staying in a rundown motel and then going off to a prestigious school (full scholarship)was such a bizarre experience.
inspiring. How did you rise out of the ashesThis!Around the time I left religion and also realised family is just people related to you by blood, nothing more. People's actions are what you need to pay attention to, not titles.
I also realised around that time that no matter what people supposedly are to you, when they're ready, their own survival and self preservation is what will dictate their actions not blood relations or bible texts.
Basically I learned the hard way that the person in the mirror is the one who is truly there for you no matter what anyone says. People are full of shyt. They talk all that nice stuff about love and loyalty, but they will be the first ones to throw you under the bus with no fukks given when the opportunity arises, so fukk them. Look out for number one.

inspiring. How did you rise out of the ashes
look at breh's friend who was too dark for a black family and got sent back to an adoption agency - some people don't even have anyone
shyt made me grateful and stop caring what people think - they don't know shyt about what I've been through for their opinion to even matter

Around the age of 13 me and my cousin were laid up in the bed playing video games he put in a porno tape and taught me how to jack off and ive been beating my meat everyday for the rest of my life.
