Where you been Breh?

Can’t knock the hustle. No one stopped black women from marketing it themselves.

Pretty sure this is what they’ve done with 99% of their “inventions”. They steal. They be stealing folks whole countries & identities

Which is made easier (albeit, slightly) when a group controls their image and thus only allows themselves to be shown in an overall positive light, e.g. "positive" propaganda. Notice how each form of American media was used to denigrate us for generations since abolition (film, theatre, television, music, radio, etc) to the point that today some random rice farmer from rural India can probably name five Black stereotypes off the top of his head.

MONEY attracts initial interest, and IMAGE seals the deal. Asians may have the money, but they also have the image (the stereotypes of being hard-working, studious, intelligent, etc).

A group that does not retain tight control over its public perception is doomed to public opinion.
As long as old dusty CACs are holding a monopoly on media, we won't have positive press. They've been running hitpieces on us since the beginning. No one was wearing bonnets when they were doing minstrel shows and clapping it up at showings of Birth of a Nation.

you nikkas are OBSESSED with white people

bonnets looking unkempt in public aint got nothing to do with white people. some people take pride in their appearance and looking put together in public, and some people are sloppy and dgaf.

i see the black version of people of walmart all the time in this depressed azz city and it is literally an assault on aesthetic sensibilities. it’s also kind of a sign of people who have given up on life. like shorty where is your cultural pride? nikkas great grannys are rolling in their grave but somehow they dont count as “the ancestors”

Nothing worse than seeing white woman in dirty pyjamas dropping their school kids off in the morning.

You do recall that your very first response to me involved name-calling, right?

I was looking for an actual discussion. Instead you came out the gate swinging, all for some fake internet points from strangers. As a fellow adult.

"c00n!" :damn:

Good lord :hhh:
It was a low vibrational c00n thread. I didn’t call you out our name, it was c00n shyt

Certain class of black women been going out in public in bonnets, pajamas, and furry slippers
Only recently have people who never stepped foot outside like that been defending it for whatever reason

The opportunism yes but crying about it won't stop shyt. All they do is go to the business planning first. All we do is consume others goods. The caps Black women are wearing and popularized are not made by us. Hell durags are not made by us. We are quick to be angry but not file the business licensing fees or produce shyt we use overwhelmingly.

How much of the stuff that isn't natural hair being "appropriated" by cacs owned by Black folk in the first place?

Black Ppl can easily support other Black ppl with our trillions in buying power. The main problem is ppl feel the “ice is colder” with white products.

Ppl spent a week reposting, marketing & getting outraged by “Juneteenth Ice Cream” instead of promoting black ice cream vendors.

The defeatist mindset has to stop.

So the issues in our community are because of the way some of us dress?

Are you serious?

The collective image is trash. You need the best image possible to make moves and to be taken seriously. You need your own media to amplify your image showing productivity. Accepting sloppiness is bullshyt, especially from our women.

You can’t get anything in life without a proper image. Bills passed, financial backing, etc.
