:mjcry: scalp dem

My sentiments exactly...cause I was fortunate to hear the ORIGINAL VERSION which was basically like a "FREESTYLE" that Supercat would originally spit at various sessions around NYC such as King Addies ...first it was directed at the Don Gorgon Ninjaman whom he had a "friendly completion" with ...

but then he used it again and changed up the lyrics slightly to address what SUPERCAT seen as not only DISRESPECTFUL but RACIAL and POLITICAL overtones in Bounty Killa's RIDING WEST tune.
.....

the llatter version the lyrics were much more DIRECTED OBVIOUSLY at BOUNTY KILLA:

Well I can see yu dissapointment BOUNTY hunting KILLA cowboy when him talk bout Riding West
A guy a run off him mout' anna big up chest bout Apache dem waan come distress
But let me tell unnu dis...You got HEAT..bwoi come and bring di HEAT
and the next time you see me and say u gwan beat me
I'm a STOMP OUT YA THIRTY TWO TEETH!!!

:whew:

when Supercat performed this tune he usually was dressed in full INDIAN GEAR to emphasis his alias as the "THE WILD APACHE"

Cat said in a interview in a recall during that time in a Carribean magazine...that he felt Bounty was already igniting tensions between blacks and Indians and Asians within the Kingston Community...because Cat himself is of East Indian heritage and he felt the negativity of being called the derogatory term "COOLIE" boy for his mixed east indian /black heritage....

Bounty Killa failed to mention in that letter...that he didn't help the situation by refrencing his heritage with the cut "Counteraction":

"a wah tek dis bway a seh him a indian, i gwine kill him wid counteraction...i know SUPER CAT di big bredda, junior cat di small one, well him mussie a east indian, yuh dead!"

:wow: In the words of 50 CENT....."THAT WAS NOT A GOOD IDEA"

Also Cat was addressing self perceived Political Overtones because Bounti Killa also had the "ANCIANT DAYS KILLING" song which made the claim

"Tell the bwoi ...watch him SPEECH and WATCH WHAT HIM SAYING
KILLA is here and SPANGLERS IS WILLING!!"

Another BAD IDEA....... :sadbron:

Probally even worst cause everybody know SPANGLERS (PNP) is the street crew that CAT ran with for year very prominent in the Western Kingston community which is why Supercat makes the claim ...in response to RIDING WEST...

"tell dem wild apache runs di western lands!!" - Supercat "Scalp Dem"

"Mi tell ya this a youth I tell yuh this a yute weh di SPANGLERS follow!" - Supercat "Don Dada"

Bounti must have suffered from amnesia forgetting about Ca's time in the pen for being a Gunner in a Jamaican garrision

or trying to take advantage of Cat's self imposed EXILE in New York city following the infamous Bottle and Gun incident at the STING clash (battle) concert which alledgedly got him banned from Jamaica for a period of time

footage of the STING CONCERT (supercat drops his GUN at the 1:03 mark)

So by no means is BOUNTI KILLA a saint in this conflict......

add to the fact SUPERCAT never thought kindly of BOUNTI 's endless war towards BEEENIE MAN whom basically was trained by Supercat and his crew when he was a considered a child protégé in the 1970's deejaying for various PNP affiliated sounds like OUTH PROMOTION and Spangler affilaites like THE BLACK ROSES CREW

which explains BEENIE MAN jumping into the fued by releasing the track "DEFNDER OF THE APACHE"

but once SUPERCAT touched ground in JAMAICA in 2002 proving THAT HIS BANISHMENT WAS JUST RUMORS

BOUNTI KILLA QUICKLY CAME TO HIS SENSES :sas1:

what did race have to do with this battle? someone break it down for me.

For nearly all his life...Supercat like most jamaicans of mixed east indian or asian ancestary had to not only have thier blackness questioned. ..but endure derogatory terms like "COOLIE BOY"

So when BOUNTI KILLA released the track "RIDING WEST"...Supercat saw it as a SUBLIMINAL DISS to those of East Indians. ...

Although BOUNTI KILLA emphatically denied that was the issue. ..

even to go as far as to DEFINE the lyrics as well as the difference between a HORSE and a A$$ when he stated he was RIDING WEST..as he states in this concert at the 9:30 mark:

"when i said A$$ i could be Talking about RIDING MY GIRL!!!" :russ:

SUPERCAT wasnt buying it :stopitslime:

and rightfully so...because thier always has been tensions between the biracial Jamicans and Blacks which was intensified during this time of Classisim and Rasta Black Militants

Cat been dealing with it for a longtime...this wasnt the first time Bounty made subs about "indians" according to Cat

Early in his career

..Bounty made the track "How the West was one"

and he didnt help matters by responding to Supercat with a track called "BLACK POWER"...which was a rant against Asian and East Indian business owners who Killa felt were exploiting black jamaicans

and he wasnt the FIRST :francis:

"Outlaw Josey Wales" and Supercat had been beefing until things came to a head where they both pulled out weapons on each other at the infamous 1984 soundlash between VOLCANO Sounds and Kill-A-MANJARO on maxfield avenue where Cat alledgedly came at Josey Wales with a Machete

one of the many incidents which led to him being called the WILD APACHE :lolbron:

thankfully the street DONS ...Junjo Lawes of VOLCANO and Skeng Don Squashed it :whew:

here is audio of the clash where Supercat disses Josey Wales and threatens to Shoot reggae artist Charlie Chaplin who is also at the dance
