Honestly I noticed that with my little cousins. They don't have the new Orleans accents or slang anymore. They all sound proper compared to my generation.

Not that's a bad thing. It's actually good bc they speak like they have sense. I just wonder where it came from bc my whole family sounds like we from NOLA except the younger generations

They go to a mostly white or diverse school?

For ages I thought bill burr’s wife was white, I was hearing her talk on his podcast.

Turns out she’s black. I don’t know where she grew up though.

Because women want white versions of their respective ethnic relationships.

This is why women put white standards of success on their men even though the men are under the thumb of systematic racism.

But the pendulum swings
Man you internet dudes something else. I can only imagine you saying this in real life and the looks you'd get. Straight lame

What do you expect ? It's america not Europe.

You want strong regional accents then travel.

Why you trying to jack my thread when I specifically mentioned this point already
All white women may sound the same, but all women who sound like white women aren't white

The internet has destroyed many regional differences and made the world a more globalist society. Things that run the risk of disappearing or appearing are:

Regional accents to a certain degree
Fashion has become more ubiquitous
A demand for food and amenities that were not local to you before
Music also becomes more easily wide spread.

The internet has made the world so much smaller.

Because the Internet

But, seriously, the rise of the Internet connected young people from all over the country and even world in real time. Previously isolated places start homogenizing their accents. If a Gen Z'er spent their formulative year cooped up in the family computer chatting with someone across the country, their accents and mannerisms are unintentionally going to meld into one generic accent that's understandable to all.
