When they changed their whole M.O. is when they lost me.

They went from the two dudes in the barbershop who you smoke weed with and got hella jokes that you always see around, to the two dudes that got a really good job and now just comes back every now and then to stunt on you.

Their whole gimmick to me was they were literally normal ass dudes that were hip hop heads and were funny. Fame got to them but I’m happy, I want the brand to get its paper :manny:

It absolutely was then when they started fukking with blavity black twitter.

When They had jamilah Lemieux and Nettaaa on the show I knew I was gonna tune them out soon enough.

Then they had Kirsten Gillebrand on there talking about she watches the show all the time and loves hiphop.

Right then I knew they were shills for the democratic blavity lgbtq agenda. They started being politically correct and got unfunny. They became gatekeepers for cool black culture watered down and sanitized for white folks.

fukk em

I never watched a full late night show episode.. I got hip to them off the YouTube clips...so all I can base it off was the podcast for what I'm judging them on.... It kinda got stale... The jokes were starting to get borderline cac-ish... Like that humor that you can't bring to the barber shop... And quite frankly I found the Joe Budden podcast... It felt more relatable... Like just some of ya boys just kicking it whether I disagree e them or not it was just a better fit

The Tariq shyt was the clear defining instance but by then they we already done with the Vice show and just mailing it in. obviously if you’re from NY you get a lot of the references they make but I would imagined it’s 100x harder for other people to “get it”

But I guess like anything, shyt just gets stale. The podcast was cool for a while but that has fallen off big time.

Excellent Thread

I stopped listening around the time the show was in full swing. For whatever reason the shyt no longer grabbed me. It’s a shame they never fulfilled what I thought their destiny was....

Them boys should have had a movie written shopping it to Hollywood. They had enough talent to create a Super Bad for the hood. Kept it true to their origins...They went to high school together but didn’t know each other. Basically highlight their individual journeys but make the shyt funny and Leary’s up to the point where they actually come together and attempt the podcast

Them nikkax missed their fukking boat

Yea..

All that super animated tourettes shyt they do in the intro is too long.
Mero is behind all the corny shyt that happens on their podcast
lowkey but i been lately thinking that Mero is holding Desus back.

Mero is cool with his accents, and impersonations. But that is it.

Desus is actually comically funny.

idk just a little thought I been holding

All of this. Except Mero used to be as funny as if not funnier than Desus.

Happy for them, and I’m gonna try to check for the new Showtime show, but they’re definitely getting too corporate & political now.
Mero funnier than Desus
:hhh: I like some of Meros comedy but he has never been funnier than Desus outside of his Trump impersonations and the few other ones he can do.

I like their stuff still, so I will watch the show, to see who will get the better this time around

Chico and the nikka with glasses is funny

DC is trash
The big black dread who is on their on occasion is worst
I’m not into the free styling bullshyt either
idk when the last time you watched or what you even watched

chico sings and freestyles way too much and is the only one with glasses. but he's funny
there is no big black nikka with dreads, except big baby who's been on like 3 times

and DC is funny as fukk
