Well if we gonna talk about the last 10 years, the stock price soared in 2015 to all time levels… 2015 was one of the best years for the mainstream and underground in a long time….

Everything since then has been a steadily slow descent, some years it went slightly back up, then continues to go down

So yeah in recent years, 2016 is the answer

Yeah I can see how it depends on age. I was only 7 in 97 but I vaguely remember around 98-02 when older cousins started to complain about it

I don't remember the last time I objectively felt there was a "bad" year for hip hop. Every year I'm listening to good to great albums, including this year.
Then when was the last great year?

When the mainstream & underground were both in sync
