real talk, man. watching drug inc. shyt is really sad. growing up having to see fiends and even alcoholics around. that shyt was NOT cool. shyt was scary and more of a warning of what happens if you fukk around. i was mostly sheltered away from that thanks to my parents but that shyt was always around though. it's that looking back at it now, things weren't as great as they seemed or at least where i grew up. it was real. to think that it's someone's mom, dad, brother, sister, uncle, aunt and etc. i know that one of my childhood friends growing up mom was a drug addict and she basically was fukked up to the point where my friend and his little sister had to stay with their grandmoms. would see their mother sometimes and she looked fukked up. sort of like bubbles from the wire. dunno what she was on BUT that shyt really had her gripped to the point where she basically was not raising her kids. really embarrassing. it was like wow.... that's that shyt right there.

drug inc isn't even that bad, it mostly shows the experience from the dealers and traffickers perspective
A&E's Intervention is a show that'll show you how rough it is for the drug user

It's probably cause people are using prescription pills and cough syrup more now. The stigma of it not being a "street drug" makes it seem safe and ok I guess...Keep trying to tell everybody I know using that shyt that it's just synthetic drugs with much more potency as they come down from the drugs and wonder why they feel like shyt.

Already know where this thread is headed. Just say his name. :francis:. And for the record he's not making drug music sound cool he's just talking about his life problems and addictions.

I hate that show. It's painful to watch especially when these people are very relatable and you see how easily it is to turn into that shyt as a way of escaping. It makes me not even wanna smoke weed and just deal with life sober. Bad enough I have ocd and obsessive tendencies. It's scary.

It's funny because the same urban cats who used to (and still do) look down on Heroin addicts and laugh at how janky white dudes used to look in the techno clubs on ecstacy is the SAME ones sipping this Lean bullshyt, going through withdrawls and poppin' ''Molly'' now that shyt gets a shoutout in rap damn near every 4 bars while still being oblivious to the fact that they just as bad as them poor fools on the Horse and playing catch up to them twitchy dudes in the underground house clubs.

:snoop:Turn up on shyt that fukks ALL the way with your health because of trends and the people who benefit from the ramifications of that shyt, brehs.

Some of these songs directed mainly for the black youth is downright sickening. Its not the fact that the music is being made, its the lack of censorship on mainstream black radio. For instance, i heard this song on pop radio:

and the word "marijuana" was totally blanked out.

Meanwhile i hear

on urban radio and "codeine & adderall" is allowed to be said quite clearly. This is by design

It didn't become just "cool". People been poppin pills since forever ago, youre just now more aware due to social media (people postin drugs, lean etc on IG).
I gotta say tho, music has a big influence. When u got rappers like keef braggin about taking flats, its gonna make hella ppl try it. "Bu bu but chief keef pops xanax and it didnt ruin his life h h he so famous" :francis:

Im not too fond of liquor so I pop xanax here and there when I'm with the homies and wanna have a good time. But I'm not no damn addict :sas2:

Believe it or not, i almost OD on activist one time. I poured an 8 in a 24oz, i felt like i was gonna have a seizure, my whole body was shivering. shyt had me scared. Do that shyt in moderation brehs

Weed lowkey is a gateway drug :wow:
