It's definitely not the same NYC. The grimey hard edge, cheap area for artists and working class to live, tagged up subways....


That's why areas like Venice are now looked as the "coolest neighborhood in America." You have the sketchy areas, artistry, inhabitants from all walks of life, dope shopping...all steps from the oceanfront.
