I've never understood the fascination but to each their own. While shopping around for my godson a Christmas gift I happened upon some toddler Jordans. $60. You gotta be fukking kidding me. This nikka don't need no arch support. He's not about to go out on the courts for real. And then grown men have the nerve to wear Jordans at business-casual or formal events

Did you see the 4s with the supposed premium materials that cost $400? They made 4 different colorways of them.

Those came out after the Don c jordans.
But those were actually real premium italian leather uppers (like the original 3s were made of) and premium silver/metal parts.

Those are going for $1,100 now.

I have seen them and I think Juelz Santana posted a pic of the snake leather one recently.

The Jordan 4s 11lab4 also go for close to 400.

Those 16s in question by OP where called the "Michael Finely's" because he was team jordan and it was the Mavericks colorway.

I believe the combination of asians and suburban white kids drove up the inflation but JB has been whoring out the retro line for years. For example a few years ago they released Cement 3s, 4s. They then rerelease them the Nike Air on the back and they still sell out instantly.

The overall real reason for sneaker inflation are the resellers. They buy up the product to sell 3x the retail price. So nike/jb said fukk it, lets raise the price and mass produce. So instead of selling that shoe for $150, its 70$ more now so the shoe company can make the money instead of the reseller and the customer takes the L.
