Check back in a year from now, when your done with the keto diet and back to eating bread, potatoes and rice, like most people that do this sort of diet end up doing because they can't sustain it for life. Either your doing it forever to keep your weight down, or you're going back to carbs and it was only good for the short term.

:hubie:
u can do keto then when u get to your weight goals change your diet, u cant pig out but u can introduce bread, potatoes and brown rice back into your diet just gotta know how much to eat and how much to workout to sustain your progress
a good weightlifting plan will negate all that weight gain anyway

Cool. Like I've said before, if that works for you, by all means go for it. I'm not trying to loose weight right now, if anything I'm trying to gain a little, to perk that ass up. :shaq: Carbs are necessary for that just as much as protein.

Carbs are not necessary for muscle gain whatsoever.

To the rest of the thread:
Some of yall really need to look at the real science on this n not just repeat shyt you heard cause yall in here talkin bout this n that like you KNOW but 98% of the info in this thread wrong as fukk..

if anyone want the truth holla at me n I'll help you out.

N to make it clear... I aint hyping keto as the only option or even the best 1.. but to say it's not sustainable or healthy or good for building muscle or all that other nonsense in here aint it

The reality is that ever nutritional plan can be effective if done right.. consistency is the only thing required for success

Full no carb is a bit extreme but the general idea absolutely works, no doubt about it.

The most drastic weight loss I ever went through was a period where I cut out anything involving bread, potatoes, soda/fruit juice, candy/chocolate. I didn't delve any further into what was a carb and what wasn't etc, just cut out the biggest contributors to my :flabbynsick:.

I could still have the breakfast / lunch / dinner rotations I wanted around this basic guideline but the change to my body was immediate.

I live a physically active lifestyle. I eat carbs and I burn them throughout the day. I eat dinner style meals for breakfast and have light late lunches.

I've only ever gained weight from sugar. I don't have a weight issue and I can eat carbs like I want. I think no carb diets are functional for people that have non physically demanding occupations or inactive lifestyles.

Not true. If you go carb deficient your body switches into ketosis and begins turning fat into KETOnes. Since you have an (near) endless supply of fat, you have an endless supply of energy. All fat is - is stored energy.

Again - quit speakin on shyt like you an expert when you really aint
