What are their companies fearing by saying these words?
They don't fear shyt, they want control.
What are their companies fearing by saying these words?
It's the result of the youtube "adpocalypse" situation, where advertisers in mass started ending deals with youtube because a bunch of large creators like piewdepie were spewing racist nazi propaganda on videos with Pepsi and huggie ads.I remember Google getting into some trouble over teens searching "How to commit suicide" and they've made some changes.
Now if you Google search "suicide" the first thing that comes up is the suicide hotline.
I think shyt is designed to find certain keywords because the content that uses those keywords has the potential to tie those companies to the responsibility of promoting those thoughts and ideas(suicide, murder, etc).
But I think it's led to problems because they aren't ran by humans.
If a content creator makes videos about suicide prevention, or wants to talk about suicide in general, I'm not sure what measure are done to separate them from another creator making videos that promotes suicide or violence.
It seems like the result of flagging all content using certain words has inadvertently created internet slang terms.
