I just came back from the DC auto show this weekend looking at the trucks and I noticed that the 2016 Tahoe base price is starting at 50k and fully kitted out, you gonna be hitting damn near $75k to get one.

Even on the used market, a 2012 can still go for 35k.

What the hell happened that's making them trucks so expensive now?

ALSO WITH AMERICAN AUTO MAKERS PRICING THEIR LUXURY CARS TO MATCH FOREIGN CARS IT ALLOWED MORE WIGGLE ROOM ON PRICING FOR STANDARD CARS. THE INTRODUCTORY LUXURY BRANDS ARE GONE SO THEY GOT REPLACED WITH TOP LEVEL TRIM ON STANDARD MODELS.

Durability and Reliability!!!

If you haven't notices Chevy Pickups, Tahoes and Suburbans last a very long damn time.

There's still a lot of these still on the road used as daily drivers.

If you need to buy a new large (7+ passenger) SUV be ready to come out 60k minimum. That being said in terms of the mid-level market, the Chevy Tahoe has eaten the Ford Expeditions lunch and took a shyt on it's sunroof. You gotta remember the average buyer of SUV's in that size class make over 150k a year and feel the Tahoe is a bargain compared to Range Rovers, Caddies, Mercedes, etc.
